The kick seemed to pass right through it as if the shadow was made out of actual shadow. The one Midnight attacked jumped up into the air and brought it's hooves at hit back. While another swiped at his legs with speed to trip him.

 

Omega sat on cloud, watching as the battle unfolded.

midnight was hit in the back of the head, while his legs were thrown from underneath him, he coughed and got to his hooves, "for shadows their pretty solid..." he paused trying to think and dodge attacks, if they were impervious to physical....were they not to magical?

he didnt know much magic, but it was worth a shot

The two Shadow took their opening while Midnight paused to attack. One from the side, the other from the opposite side

midnights eyes widened and he propelled himself into the air, watching the shadows collide, he shook his head, "here goes nothing." he figured it was the same as conjuring a bow, as he let a bout of flame erupt from his houtstreached hooves and engulf the other shadows.

he was already feeling tired, but even if he ran he knew they would follow him, knowing what omega did to shadow, he watched the flames hoping the two shadows were gone.

The two seemed to have been destroyed. But there was still one left. It came from behind seeing Midnight did not know it and sent it's hoof towards his back. Before it could touch him, it's hoof transformed into a needle like blade.

Midnight cried out in pain, he growled and bared his fangs, sending a burst of flame into the shadow pony, throwing it against the tree behind it, then turned to the last one, narrowing his eyes and conjuring his magical bow and arrows, nocking and drawing the arrow in an instant.

The shadow seemed to vaporize as it was killed. The last Shadow sunk into the ground like a normal shadow and dashed over to Midnight. When it reached him in came out of the ground and attempted to smash it's head into Midnight's.

midnight let the arrow go, and it hit the creature in the neck since it was a conjured arrow, it was technically magic, but in that time the shadows head had hit his own, and in a flash of bright light and stars he was on the ground, "nng...."

"Not bad kid, not bad at all" he said with a laugh "That was quite a fun test" Omega's voice was projected even if he did not seem to be there

midnight got to his hooves slowly and painfully his back where the blade had peirced his skin, it was bleeding profusely, and other then his dizzyness he was alright.

"t-test?"

"Well of course, i wanted to test your learning capability and strength." he said "You figured out how to defeat my shadows fairly quickly, and seeing you are not dead....you pass" he said as he slowly started to materialize a few feet away from Midnight. Edited May 24, 2012 by Shadow Cloud

Midnights head started to clear up a bit more, his vampire system healing quicker then normal, he looked at omega "a test for what?"

"For my own amusement of course!" Omega said with a smile on his face. "And you are quite the jester my friend"

"im sure," midnight chuckled softly, "you seem to have a sensible yet insane head on your shoulders," he started to walk towards omega, but the wound on his back burned and continued to bleed, and he stopped, breathing softly.

"Now, you seem to be at quite the disadvantage, Midnight" he said "Would you like to try to best me though?" he asked. "I think it would be fun" His eyes turned from their regular red color to a inverted type with red pupils. And his his teeth and fangs grew sharper.

 

(Just for a reference on the hair and color.

Omega would look like this but the blue parts would be red.)

midnight sighed, "i dont really have a choice do i."

he swallowed, this was the first time, but he would let the other out, mabey he would help, but against omega, he didnt know, his mane became frizzled in places, his fangs grew a bit more and he grinned, his wound slightly dissappearing.

"finally," he streached, "so your the one midnight let me out for, hmm, i have to thank you before we go to kill each other."

 

(just gonna say he became slightly feral XD wont help him much but eh X3)

Omega smiles, baring his fanged teeth. "You flatter me, making this battle worth while!" he said. He still had to keep focus in his mind even if he did not look the part outside. This thing that is controlling Midnight may be quite the challenge. It appeared holy, but his dark magic can taint even the brightest spirits.

Feral midnight smirked, "since i am a gentleman, i will give the first strike to you." he smirked, if the shadows that attacked midnight were any indication this pony was strong, even though he didnt look it.

he also figured since shadow was "good" shadow and omega was "evil" he concluded he could possibly corrupt anything he touched, he would have to be careful.

"You played the wrong care my friend" he said deciding to start out with the basic magic to size him up. He sent out of wave out black energy that would explode on contact, it seemed up take up a style of guillotine blade as it traveled towards Midnight with swift speed.

midnight frowned, only one realy way he could avoid this with his current abilities, and he spread his wings and propelled himself into the airletting it sail beneath him before he landed drawing his bow and fireing one arrow then another and a third, almost one second after the other.

The energy blade flew off towards a small forest of trees. cutting though them cleanly in a line for a few meters before exploding violently with a tremendous bang. The arrows seemed to pass though him as he himself were made of Shadow. He dashed towards Midnight as a black aura appeared around him.

 

(One of his abilities he can't use often is that he can make himself un-solid to have attacks run though him, and then make himself solid again to attack)

midnight was taken off guard then smiled "smart." he quipped, he kept track of omega it was hard on a un moonlit night like this, but there were subtle things he could look out for.
