Now that the Cutie Mark Crusders are no longer crusading for their own cutie marks, but are doing things on their own, coverying more ground, elping other ponies with decipering or earning their cutie marks... we may very likely see somepony who has been hinted at being close to them and the mane 6 since 2014. A certain blank flank classmate of theirs who probably hasn't realized their destiny yet..... I'm talking about Star Dreams. https://mlpforums.com/topic/148656-star-dreams-fanclub/ Sure, she's only a toyline pony for now, but let's look at the facts- she's been released in 2 sets with 4 of the members of the mane 6. Why, unless significant somehow? She's been released in a set with the cmc, as their classmate. Why unless she was significant to them, somehow? To top it off, she's a blank for flank. Perfect recipe for Star Dreams to be a future pony who the CMC help in the series, I think. She already exists as a canon toyline character, so it only makes sense... But what are you guys' thoughts? With how this pony has already been marketed and implied to have some relation to the manes, could her debeut in the show, specifically in being helped by the CMC in series canon, with their new goal, be posible? There's that option too.but here's the thing- they might not. I think we all can agree that the show paints the time a pony gets their cutie mark as special, and that what the CMC doing is special. But Star Dreams is a blsnk flank and is relevant somehow, to the cmc in the toyline's canon- what if she's thrown into the show, the CMC try to help her get her mark, and realize that there might be somepony happy as a blank flank, that you don't need a mark on your butt to live your destiny? Marimo 555 April 15, 2016 Share April 15, 2016 (edited) Why, unless significant somehow? According to MLP Merch, she's only had a total of three releases, one in 2014, one in 2013, and one in 2011. She is clearly not someone the show staff created, because there's no way they planned things out this far in advance, when that year was when they believed season 3 would be the final season. And Hasbro doesn't seem to have any interest in her since she's not a part of any current merchandise or even the last recent stuff, the Cutie Mark Magic line. The latest she was shown was in the Rainbow Power line. They don't seem to be pushing her in the merch, so there's no reason for them to mandate her to be in the show. Seems like she was just an extra that they decided to put in for a couple of sets, like how Lemony Gems and Flower Wishes were included in a Favorites Collection for some reason, or how Minty and Dewdrop Dazzle were included in a set called Midnight at Canterlot Castle and they had nothing to do with season 4's premiere Princess Twilight Sparkle (which aired around the time of its release) or any other stuff involving Luna/NMM. There's still a lot for them to learn about cutie marksand setting others on the path to acquiring one. They've already got 10 main characters (Mane 6, Spike + CMCs) + the Pricesses, Cadance & family, + AJ's family + Starlight Glimmer + Discord.
