Season Six finale Theory

I know alot of you think that Starlight might become the 7th member of the Mane Six, but in all honesty, I think otherwise. Starlight has barely interacted with the Mane Five that much - or at least not as much as show quite a bond between them. There are, however, certain characters of the show that she did befriend and bond with very well. Three of them in fact! All three of these friends is someone Starlight relates to in a way.

 

 

Let's start off with Sunburst. He was her first friend, and the season premiere was mostly about her trying to befriend him. They relate to eachother because they both had a tricky past after they separated from eachother, and it turned out they needed eachother to be truly happy, and henceforth, they both helped eachother out in reaching their goals!

 

 

Next up is Trixie! These two relate to eachother since they both had a villainous past and have been reformed by Twilight. These two really hit it off instantly, and were always there to help eachother out! Heck, they trusted eachother instantly as well!

 

 

And finally, we have my personal favorite friendship with Starlight: Spike! He was pretty much the only one that gave Starlight the attention she deserved on her first assignment. I'm sure Spike was pretty excited to see his new niece/cousin. but he decided to not follow what he really wanted, and do what he needed to do! Spike truly cares about how Starlight feels, and I know for a fact she appreciates it! What makes them share some common ground is that they're both something to Twilight: the assistant and the pupil, which is pretty good chemistry there!

 

So Starlight made three friends so far, and I have the feeling she's going to make two more for two episodes this season, and leading to the finale where her and her five friends would have to help save Equestria using friendship because the villain(s) would be so bad, Rainbow power from the Mane Six wouldn't be enough. 

 

This is the ending I'd really like to see! Not only will people be happy because she didn't turn out like Sunset Shimmer like we thought, but also all her friendship lessons from Twilight would pay off! Also, Spike would be more than just an assistant; now that he's got the same potential as the rest of the Mane Six!

I heard a theory that Starlight Glimmer is going to die at the end of the season battling Chrysalis. I've got no clue how plausible that is, but I figured I might as well throw it out there. I think it's a longshot, but Glimmer's reformation was also a longshot and we saw what happened there.

I heard a theory that Starlight Glimmer is going to die at the end of the season battling Chrysalis. I've got no clue how plausible that is, but I figured I might as well throw it out there. I think it's a longshot, but Glimmer's reformation was also a longshot and we saw what happened there.

I don;t think Glimmy will die, but many people theorize that the black spot flying towards the Empire at the end of the premiere was Chrysy

The only thing that makes this doubtful for me completely is Spike, as he already saved the Crystal Empire and he is already sorta part of the team, so there isn't much reason to put him on those high of levels, Spike isn't a character that needs such acclaim, at least, not twice. I love him for sure, I just don't think that is the best role for him. 

 

One other thing is I don't like the idea of the mane 6 being incapacitated. I like the idea of a second mane 6 sorta rising from the friendships that Starlight began, that is something very plausible, but I would love to see this new mane 6 pair with the original 6 and they save the day. THAT, would be really, really cool.

I definitely agree with you there. Spike being a close friend to Starlight, to me, is perfect. That is something I hoped to have seen and we are seeing it. Perhaps he could be excellent moral support to the group, that would be excellent with his character.

This sounds alot like a mane 6.2 but it could work and give Starlight the chance to be a leader and other characters more development and screentime.I'm looking at you Sunburst.
