Could the Pinkie Pie Clones be an upcoming episode?

Despite the joke in Saddle Row Review, I highly doubt that we are going to see anything more out of them to be honest.

I doubt it. I also really don't want it. We've seen enough of this season basically rehashing concepts from earlier seasons. It's great to have continuity, but if it's done at all it should be mixed with new ideas and twists like in 'Gauntlet of Fire' and 'A Hearths Warming Tail'. Too many episodes like 'Newbie Dash' and 'The Gift of the Maud Pie' are just lazy in their execution by rehashing older ideas, or completely screwing up established arcs in underwhelming ways.

Very, very unlikely. All I saw in Saddle Row Review was a simple, few second gag of another Pinkie being there. That doesn't warrant another full fledged episode of them. We have already seen what havoc an army of Pinkie's can bring so we would be treading very familiar ground at that point.

I'll take the opposite view here. After how the fans reacted to that one appearance, I could see the showrunners fit in a future episode to revisit this one (and any others that got away.)

 

But it wouldn't happen until Season 7; if there is even a season 7.

 

I mean, season 2 took some fan ideas and made them real. If the fans reacted positively to this escapee, I could see a story being penned about her.
