"Hello professor." I thought about whether or not I should show respect. Older gentleman, sort of a colleague. Why not?

 

"Please check the date on my email, as it was sent a while ago and I should have been expected. Charla and I got held up on the way here in large Twister created by a pack of Gyarados out at sea, and we would have been here sooner if we hadn't been blown far off course. Sorry about that." I sighed and momentarily bowed apologetically at this point. "We were traveling from home in Lumiose City, you see. Kalos is pretty far from here."

 

"My research on you indicates you study Pokémon energy. If you could transmit to me exactly the kind of data you need, I could configure Dexie to send it to you." Waving my right hand over my Leks Watch I activated the UI and made the Pokédex App appear in a holographic panel that moved with the watch as I raised it for Zelkova to see. "Dexie, introduction please." I said with a wide smile as the panel changed to a floating bald female head as she began to speak.

 

"Greetings. I'm Dexie, a Pokédex App programmed by Miss Lektra Bolt of Lumiose City. My function is to provide her with information and advice regarding Pokémon and their training, as well as function as her ID. If lost, stolen or hacked, I'm irreplaceable." The head then vanished, to be replaced with the Pokédex UI again. Dexie was ready to receive the necessary link information.

 

I then moved to look at the Pokémon. Not bad, but also not good. Pulling up the Holo UI on the watch on my left wrist again, I scanned them with a yellow horizontal beam. Several holographic panels displayed basic information on each, as well as potential for evolution and power. While I did like Dark types, the Sneasel was a dual form Pokémon and wasn't looking favorable. In addition she wasn't even looking at me and had her back turned, so she probably had a bad attitude. I knelt down to the Shinx. "Don't get me wrong little one, I like you the most." I gently petted her head. "I just had my heart set on starting with a Fire type."

 

I then turned to the professor again. "Sir, would it be ok to reroll Sneasel into a regional Fire type starter please?"

 

 

Zelkovia gave a slight nod before returning the sneasal to her pokeball and rerunning the selection process for a starter for Elektra, this time only for one Pokémon. "That's understandable. The other trainers are lucky that they weren't caught in the same event. Thankfully, they just left so you wont have to do that much in terms of catch up." He said, before setting the pokedex meant for Electra on the table in front of her.

Kari watched as the shadow of a huge Mega-Evolved Charizard flew overhead and landed in front of the lab. Its supposed trainer got off its back and recalled it before heading inside.

 

She was no stranger to Mega-Evolution. She had a Blastoise with a Mega Stone herself, back when she first began her own journey. She remembered how Professor Sycamore had entrusted her with studying its effects. Hopefully she had not let him down.

"A Cyndaquill! Wonderful!" Jumping for joy. twirling around and almost having a wardrobe malfunction, I then coughed lightly to calm down and scanned the new Pokémon, with the watch displaying information. Definitely good. Perfect for my research into Pokémon that could use a variety of moves. I knelt down to him. "I'll call you Flame and we're gonna be bosom buddies. How's that sound to you?"

 

"Quil quill!" I was going to pick him up, but he jumped in my bosom nose first and just kinda nestled in there. He was small enough to fit, being a baby and with me kind of having a lot of room in there.

 

"Maybe that was an inopportune choice of words, huh?" It was an odd sensation and I tried not to let it turn me on by putting my legs together, moving to scan the Pokédex instead and reading the output. Other than the one extra part it was a pretty standard model, though looking different from the ones in other regions.

 

"Ah yes, there's the transmitter. Dexie please reconfigure to collect this data and transmit it the same way the professor wants." There was a confirmation ping. "Well then we'll be sending you the data you need as it becomes available." I bowed again, Flame almost falling out but climbing back in and making me uncomfortable some more. "Thank you professor. If you could just direct us to the method of transport to the next town so we could catch up to the others?"

Kyubi glanced at Blitz, knowing that he wasn't exactly fond of new people. It wasn't until then. That she had also realized that they had never introduced themselves to him. "My name is Kyubi and this is Blitz, by the way." She said, poking the psychic in the side as she said his name. Speaking of which, she figured it'd be best to talk to him through the psychic link they shared as they spoke to Jake. "Do you mind if he comes with us?"

 

Masamune looked at both his trainer and Blitz, and could tell that something was already forming between the two of them. What it was would have to be decided by both of them and possibly, if only slightly, influenced by him. He didn't really seem to care about Jake, though.

The teen simply glanced at Kyubi and gave a slight shrug. "Sure. That's fine with me. I think I'll just let you be the one to ask him, though." He though, before looking into the sky. "I think I'll go explore for a bit. See you two on the next route." With that, Blitz headed towards the exit of the town, already looking for a second Pokemon to add to his team. From what he saw on the map he borrowed on the plane, there should be a few good picks for him on route 2. "What do you think about Kyubi, Azula?"

 

The fennekin simply gave a content growl as she woke up from her nap, and leaped onto her trainer's shoulder in order to get a better vantage point to sit.

Kyubi gave a slight pout and watched as Blitz left. "You owe me for this." She thought. It wasn't that she didn't like talking to other people. It was just that she at least wanted Blitz to try and come out of his shell. The trainer then turned her attention back to Jake and smiled. "Sorry about that. He doesn't really like talking to others he hasn't gotten to know yet. Either way, you said that you didn't know where to head next, right? Why don't you come with us?"

Kari, letting the sudden Mega Evolved Pokémon slip from her alertness, stretched out her arms before turning to her apparent new companion. The human one, not the bird one.

 

"So, you wish to travel with me?" She asked, and gave him a smirk. "I just hope you can keep up with a veteran. I have been across six other regions before now."

As Blitz continues forward onto Route 2, the movement of Pokemon around him seems to slow, as if they were watching the human from a safe distance. Eventually, one seems to catch his eye, a wild Pokemon directly in front of him.

As both trainer and wild Pokemon stared at each other, the former taking a defensive stance, Blitz was debating on whether or not to catch the normal type. Eevee could evolve into a variety of types. The only downside was that they could be one type at any given time. "I think I'll just do a bit of training while I wait for Kyubi." He thought to himself.

 

Azula, sensing an approaching battle, jumped to the ground and took a more offensive stance. She was ready to prove herself to her trainer.

 

Blitz gave a slight nod to Azula and closed his eyes, feeling lighter as the wind blew. "Psychic link established. Let's go. Azula, use scratch."

 

The fennekin felt a bit odd as she heard her trainer's voice in her head, but it was something that she could get used to. Returning her attention back to the fight, she quickly moved forwards and slashed at the eevee with extended claws. The attack seemed to do a bit of damage, but their opponent didn't go down.

 

As for the eevee, she tackled Azula when the fennekin was close enough. The attack did do a bit more damage due to the eevee's ability, though.

 

Azula wasn't going down so easily either, and Blitz could see that. "Use scratch again."

 

The fennekin nodded and basically entered a close range brawl with the eevee, scratching the wild Pokemon as it tackled into her again.

 

Blitz showed no emotion as the battle progressed. He could tell that both Pokemon were getting tired with each hit, so he knew that he would have to end this fast. "Use scratch one more time." He thought.

 

Azula nodded and slashed at the eevee again, but was a caught off guard when the wild Pokemon slapped her with its tail.

 

With that move, Blitz knew that this fight was his. "End this."

 

Fennekin nodded and scratched at the eevee again, this time knocking it out.

 

Blitz smiled slightly as he scratched Azula behind her ear. "Good job. Looks like we won our first battle together."

 

Azula seemed to smile and gently nuzzled her trainer.

 

For defeating a Pokemon of equal or higher level, Azula's raises from level 5 to 7. Azula also learned ember.

 

While both trainer and Pokemon were happy with their win, Blitz still wanted to do a bit more training. After walking around the entrance of route 2 they had come though, they eventually entered the more marshy area of the route.

"Hmmm..., it doesn't seem likely that wandering around in a random direction will get us anywhere," Jake says while in a somewhat thoughtful trance. He had been thinking about it for a while but he could no longer avoid the issue: He knew nothing about this region.

 

He may have over estimated his experience. Having done this so many times before he assumed this would be a walk in the park, but somehow, this time was different. There was something about the layout of this region that just ins't typical of the many others Jake had seen.

 

As Jake is contemplating his situation his partner, Bright Lightning, tugs on his pant leg to remind him he's in the middle of a conversation. "Huh? Oh.... um... sure!" Jake exclaimed, trying to cover for the fact he completely forgot he was talking to Kyubi for a minute or so. "The more the merrier, right?"

Kyubi couldn't help but smile a bit and nodded. "Yeah. That makes sense." She said. "Blitz went a bit ahead, but he shouldn't have gotten far." With that, the trainer headed towards route 2 and was already thinking of possible Pokemon she could use on her team. Her thoughts then turned to Blitz himself, but those were quickly pushed away when she realized what was going on. "Why would I think about him like that. Sure he seems like a nice guy, but we just met." She thought to herself, before looking around. It didn't take long for her to realize that she was at the entrance of route 2, so she just looked around the general area. "I guess I'll just wait and see what happens."

His Pokemon growing stronger, Blitz is the first trainer to win a battle in Algard, but he certainly won't be the last. One can only imagine what he's planning for his team.

 

As Blitz moved through the marsh, there seemed to be a few Pokemon that noticed his presence. Eventually, one approached the psychic.

"Quil!" Flame struggled to get back in his comfortable place as he was almost knocked out of my bosom again by the sudden commotion and she spoke to us. I scanned her and her Pidgey.

 

"Sure, why not. Would be nice to not travel alone. You should know, you're not the only veteran starting fresh. I've been to all the other regions as well and have the badges as well as tournament placement ribbons to prove it." I then looked down at Flame. "Uh, is it off putting to you he's sitting in here or should I recall him to his ball?"

 

I followed the map panel to the docks, confirming the League symbol was there. "I'm Professor Lektra Bolt by the way, and this little guy is Flame." I struggled to make sure the tied crop top was holding him in there, noting that it was fine for the moment.

 

"As do I," Kari boasted, puffing out her chest as she recalled the collection of badges, ribbons and trophies in her bedroom back home, "I have heard of you, Lektra. No doubt you have heard of me, oui? Kari Lapointe?" She smirked expectantly.

 

As for her other question, regarding her Cyndaquil, she simply shrugged. "He is doing me no harm. Oh, and this is Zephyr."

 

The Pidgey cooed in greeting, ruffling his wings slightly.

Kyubi noticed the Trecko almost immediately and couldn't help but smile. "Huh. Didn't expect to see a Pokemon from Hoenn, but I'm not complaining." She thought. The trainer then looked at Masamune and nodded.

 

Sensing an approaching battle, the psychic type jumped out of his trainer's arms and took a battle stance.

 

"Use confusion." Kyubi said, hoping for a quick fight. She just needed to weaken the grass type a bit before capturing it.

 

The ralts nodded and released a weak psychic energy directed towards his opponent, doing a good amount of damage.

 

The Trecko glared at the ralts before flinging himself towards Masamune, slamming a glowing fist into his opponent, sending him back a few feet.

 

Kyubi smiled a bit at the strength of the Trecko and made sure she had a pokeball ready. "Masamune, use confusion again." She said.

 

The ralts nodded and released a second barrage of psychic energy at the wild Pokemon.

 

The Trecko seemed to be getting tired, but he wasn't about to go down without a fight. He then slammed a second glowing fist into Masamune, sending him into the ground for a second time.

 

"Use confusion again." Kyubi said. After this, there was a good chance at catching the Trecko.

 

Masamune nodded and repeated his attack. The only difference was that it seemed to disorient the Trecko and send him into a bout of confusion. Due to this, the Trecko only managed to hurt himself.

 

Kyubi didn't give any order for Masamune to attack. Instead, she just threw a pokeball and hit the grass type in the chest. The Pokemon was drawn into the sphere and after a few shakes, a small ping could be heard. "Looks like I got my first teammate." She thought.

Jake moves quickly past the entrance of route 2 looking for the other two. "Huff, Huff, huff... Those kids sure are fast. I'm getting two old for this," Jake said, partially out of breath. As Jake slowed to a stop to catch his breath a Fletchling poped down from a nearby tree.

 

"Oh hey little guy, how are you doing?" Jake asks the little pokemon as he approaches and leans down towards it. The Fletchling attacks his face. "Owwwww. I just wanted to know how he was doing..." The Fletchling attempts to attack Jake again but he swiftly dodges it this time. "I guess we have no choice. Let's go Bright Lightning!" BL stands poised for the fight.

 

"Let's start off with a tactical advantage, Bright Lightning use thunder wave!" A wave of energy emanates from BL. The Fletchling dodges the wave smoothly, as if requiring no effort at all. "Blast it," exclaimed Jake.

 

The Fletchling counter attacks using tackle. Bl is hit, but suffers minimal damage. "You alright buddy," Jake asks his companion. BL nods. "Then we mustn't take this sitting down! Use tackle!"

 

BL tackle attacks the Fletchling and lands a good blow upon her. The Fletchling falls to it's feet but soon regains composure. "Nice hit BL, Jake says with a smile.

 

The Fletchling isn't done yet, it put all of its energy into another tackle attack. "Not this time. Bright Lightning, dodge and use thunder wave one more time!" Jake states with a clear and focused mind, yet with a burning fire.

 

Electrike is able to dodge the attack. The Fletchling is unable to stop on a dime after charging at full speed. Electrike lands the thunder wave. The now paralyzed Fletchling tumbles along ground with the left over speed of its attack. The Fletchling is found knocked out cold after coming to a stop.

 

"Good job buddy," Jake exclaimed with cheer. Well we better keep going, we got a lot more ground to cover."

 

Bright Lightning has defeated a Pokemon of equal or more level, Level up from 5 to 7. BL learned Howl.

Blitz simply glanced at the lotad and simply shook his head. He wasn't about to waste time on a pointless fight and he really needed to find a second pokemon above all else. "I can always check up on the others if I can't find anything." He thought to himself, before heading off into his next encounter.

Kyubi smiled as she picked up the pokeball and hooked it to her belt. "Looks like we're getting stronger already, Masamune." She said as she picked up said Pokemon and rubbed his head. The trainer then noticed that Jake had knocked out the fletchling. "Looks like you're getting stronger to. So, anythibg in particular you're looking for in a Pokemon?"

Jake was a bit surprised by Kyubi's question. It's not he hadn't been thinking about it since he first received Electrike from the good professor. Jake had gained a lot of experience through out his career as a trainer.

 

He looked at Kyubi and said actually in a sincere fashion "It really doesn't make much of a difference. I see all Pokemon as potential partners and friends. Even the simple Magikarp."

 

He quickly changed his expression 180 degrees to his trademark smile "But I can't truly say I don't favor certain types over others. I'm looking to balance my team and have a type to cover as many weaknesses as I can, but at the same time there are certain types I can't live without. I have a certain affinity for rock, electric, and steel Pokemon, but my favorite is the fairy type. Let me tell you a story."

 

Jake's affinity to fairy was attributed to his past. While traveling in Kalos he came upon a little Flabébé lost and crying in a forest. He had taken the little one to a nearby poke-center. After being healed the Flabébé stuck to him like glue throughout his travels in the region. In it's final evolution, Florges, he fought battle after battle and over came hardship after hardship. But as his adventures in Kalos came to an end he had come to know how much his friend loved her home region and knew he had to let her go. With a heavy heart he released her, but never forgot her.

 

As he tells this story to Kyubi his face returns to the serious look he had at the beginning of the conversation. He now sat in reflection.

"I'm terrible with names but I never forget a face. I've seen you in tournaments and contests, maybe the occasional gym. It's nice to actually meet you for real Kari. Are you from Kalos too?" I smiled lightly as we got to the docks. This seemed to be the place.

 

Kari smirked and nodded, looking rather proud of herself. "Oui, Couriway Town to be precise. I recognise you also... you are from Kalos?"

 

 

I then petted Zephyr on the head lightly. "Cute Pidgey. Pretty bold of you starting with such a common Pokémon, but you'll probably catch some cool stuff along the way so it'll all balance out in the end." 

 

Zephyr cooed softly from the petting, closing his eyes and ruffling his wings as he enjoyed it.

 

"Oui," Kari agreed, "I have never trained a Pidgey before, but I think I have found the best one."

Blitz glanced at the froakie with what could only be describe as surprise. There were only a few times where he had encountered a regional starter Pokemon in the wild, so he had every intention of catching the water type. "Azula, it's your time to shine." He thought, releasing the fennekin. " Use scratch."

 

Azula nodded and rushed forwards, before slashing at the froakie with her claws. She did damage, but not enough to severely weaken the water type.

 

The attack seemed to catch the Pokemon off guard, but it quickly recovered and glanced at Azula. He felt something stirring in his head, like the feeling of lightness one would feel when just waking from slumber, but he would fight to prove his strength for now. With that in mind, he rushed into the fennekin and tackled her as his normally light blue skin turned into a light gray to the surprise of Blitz. The tackle also seemed to do a bit more damage then usual.

 

"This could be interesting. If he has that ability, then he could be a invaluable part of my team." He thought, an experiment playing out in his head. "Azula, use ember"

 

The fennekin nodded and pushed off the froakie and fired a few small flames at the froakie. The attack surprisingly did the regular amount of damage due to the froakie's type change.

 

Blitz nodded slightly and knew what was going on. Thankfully, the froakie only rammed into Azula again. "If I didn't know it, I'd say he's holding back. Looks like someone has an admirer." He thought, a slight smirk forming on his lips. "Use ember again.

 

Azula nodded and repeated her attack, doing a good amount of damage.

 

The froakie seemed to be growing weak as the fight progressed. He wasn't going to give up without a fight, though. His skin then turned to its regular shade of blue as he launched a bubble at Azula, doing a good deal of damage and nearly knocking her out.

 

Blitz knew that both Pokemon were on their last leg, so he decided to end this. He then lifted a pokeball into the air and placed it on the ground in front of the froakie. "I can help you get stronger, but you'll have to come with me to do that." He said, a genuine smile forming on his lips. "I'm not going to force you to go."

 

The froakie tilted his head in curiosity, before glancing at Azula. If he joined Blitz, he would probably get to spend more time with her, among other things. With that in mind, the froakie tapped the button on the pokeball and was taken into the device. After a few seconds, a soft ping could be heard.

 

Blitz smiled as he picked up the pokeball and placed it in his jacket. "We should probably get back to the others." He said, picked up Azula. "You did good, girl. I'll be sure to give you a few sticks later."

 

The fennekin gave a happy yip and licked her trainer's cheek.

 

For defeating a Pokemon of a lower level, Azula's is raised from 7 to 8. Froakie is added to the party. Please update profile accordingly.

 

"I'm terrible with names but I never forget a face. I've seen you in tournaments and contests, maybe the occasional gym. It's nice to actually meet you for real Kari. Are you from Kalos too?" I smiled lightly as we got to the docks. This seemed to be the place.

 

I then petted Zephyr on the head lightly. "Cute Pidgey. Pretty bold of you starting with such a common Pokémon, but you'll probably catch some cool stuff along the way so it'll all balance out in the end." I then turned to the lady at the ferry counter.

 

"Excuse me we would like to board the ferry to the next town. Does it cost money or uh, how does this work?" I looked around, not actually seeing the ferry. Was it yet to come back? Did they keep the boats in a depot of sorts? Was I just blind and not looking in the right place as a complete ditz too focused on what my watch was displaying? All of the above?

The woman behind the counter looked at Lektra. "A few other trainers headed to the mainland about half an hour ago. The ferry should be back any minute. As for pay, the ride is free due to the influx of trainers." She said.

 

As soon as she finished, the sound of a foghorn reverberated through the air, signaling the return of the ferry.

Kyubi couldn't help but feel a twinge of sadness as Jake told his story. A trainer can spend months to years bonding with a Pokemon, so it would be always hard to see them go. "I'm sure you'll see her again soon. Bonds like that don't die easily." She said in a comforting tone. The trainer also approved of Jake's view on Pokemon and found that it was similar to her own and Blitz's. "I wonder where Blitz is, anyway." She thought to herself.

The world ended yesterday…but today was just a little bit better.

 

It was the usual yesterday as he went down the checklist in his head: making sure his cards had his face on it, but a different name he was accustom to, making sure he answered to one name and never the other, and not to mention the obligatory movements across one region and making sure his passport said one of those names that made a scowl come to his face. He heard a number of them already, and each one to the last made his expression become as straight as the letter “U.”

 

But, for now, he just wanted everyone to settle with “Orchid.”

 

So that is just what Orchid thought about in his head: who he would be, what he would do, and not to mention what in the world was he doing on a plain between the Pikachu Fanatic collecting a horde of cute dolls talking about her trip to Kanto that completed her collection and the snoring Mountain Climber that smelled like rocks, boulders, and obviously were not the most pleasant remains of a Golem’s stone rear. If he had not had the window seat, none of this would not have made sense, but yet, between gazing at the passing clouds and walking into the Medowrue Pokemon Lab, it started to make sense.

 

Science!

 

The “Wonderful World of Pokemon” (as they called it), was a place full of potential, simply because there were so many species and combinations. There was a living Venus Fly Trap! There was a lot of things you could do with that! When Orchid was young, he could think about those things: what the acidic composition of the saliva could do when combined with the poisonous make up of a nasty Pokemon made of waste, what the potential hallucinating   effects the smell of a gas spewing Pokemon could do when heightened by the effects of a paralysis-type powder. The thought of seeing someone going into a seizure was…

 

…well, underwhelming. That was probably why his parents were idiots!

 

Drugs and weapons came to mind, but those formulas were like a bane to the brain! It was knowledge he could do without, just like the waste of space that his parental figures were in a jail cell. A hatred brought him here, but yet it was not apparent as the smile was on his face the moment he stroked the pen to sign his alias, slid the clipboard gently as the curtain of cloth paved with flowers had drawn back to his lap leaving the secretary to look over it.

 

“Thank you!” he said charmingly, “…and sorry for being late.”

 

He was late, and the beaten path leaving the lab had told him that many of the trainers had come and gone, whether it was one hour ago or one decade ago. He would take his time, no matter how long it would take him to begin his journey today. He had taken his time going to the lab's center to see the Pokemon that were left; his silk garment sweeping the floor gently as if he was floating, but the knock of the wooden flats struck the floor to tell another story.

 

It was to be expected that he was. After all, he had to make sure he said good-bye to yesterday…forever.

Zelkovia hung up the phone he was using as soon as Orchid entered the lab. "Oh, it seems one more has decided to enter the fray. It certainly is good to see new trainers." He said, before typing a bit of code into the computer. Three Pokeballs then materialize on the desk and Zelkovia placed everything Orchid would need in front of them. "I already told this to the others, but that pokedex can measure the latent energy within a Pokemon. I'm studying how Pokemon are able to use the abilities that they do."

It didn't take long for Blitz to find Kyubi and Jake, and the trainer seemed to relax when he got close enough. "I was wondering when you two would show up." He said, giving a light smile. Of course, the trainer wasn't the only thing that had found the group. Three wild Pokemon were curious about the gathering humans and wanted to test their strength.

“The fray?” Orchid asked, “N-not…exactly..”

 

He was hesitant to explain, and so he did not. There were some things that some people were just meant to remain ignorant about. So, the violet haired boy had listened to the professor as he had glided over the Pokedex that was placed before him. He delicately grabbed it with two fingers, a fortunate display of its design as he lifted it slightly with his fingers to show how slim and sleek it was. The first target, of course, was the Bulbasaur that was sitting upon the table. He was already familiar with the common statistics: the average weight, height, and type.

 

However, new variables were there!

 

“Latent Energy?” he inquired to the professor, “As in – the energy needed before evolution or relative to…something else?”

 

It was an interesting subject! The Pokemon World had professors that were studying many fields when it came to what they wanted to know about Pokemon. There were theories conducted on evolution, expansion of present species, not to mention dormant evolution. He was intrigued by the subject that the professor brought up, but even more so by the Bulbasaur that was attentive towards him. The young boy closed the Pokedex with a simple flick of the wrist that pressed his thumb to the corresponding button and gazed at the other two with a smile.

 

…a dismissive smile.

 

“Well, I have made my choice, ” he noted to the small audience, “We will be partners. There is so very much for us to learn! Care to come along?”

 

The Bulbasaur nodded, and it was in a truly intrigued way. Its eyes stayed upon Orchid as if there answers to mysteries in his very blue eyes.

 

With that, Orchid turned to the professor, taking the one Pokeball that was among the items that were meant for preparation. His hand straddled what seemed to be a hefty shoulder back that slumped along to his waist. His power was in his legs, so his hips would bare the weight. There was also the free right hand that stroked the Bulbsaur’s seed upon its back. The left finished packing away the items while the right hand opened freely to press a thumb in his palm to observe the texture through his touch.

 

“This seed seems pretty large above the average. Your ability has to be Chlorophyll.”

 

It was a rare ability for a Bulbasaur, and it was like a sign from the Gods that this was meant to be! A Pokemon that was a Grass-Type and Poison-Type was just what he needed! Not only that, but a Bulbasaur with a rare ability to absorb the sunlight meant that he would have the healthiest of flowers that would grow upon his back. It meant that there was a lot of potential that would come from this pairing.

 

“Well, Professor, I hope your research goes well.” The violet haired boy said (whether he got his reply or not), “I will be sure to transmit some interesting data from Pokemon to you if it ever comes. Before I go, what are the closest routes that are near your lab and where did the other trainers embark to?” he asked.

Kyubi glanced at Blitz and gave a slight shrug. "Someone's a bit clingy." She thought, using the telepathic link the two shared. It didn't take her long to notice that a few Pokemon had decided to approach. "Looks like we have company." She said, releasing Evergreen. "Use pound.

 

The Trecko nodded and decided to target the buneary, slamming a glowing fist into the wild Pokemon.

 

While the wild Pokemon tooka good amount of damage, it wouldn't go down without a fight. As soon as it recovered, it kicked at the Trecko, using the same attack that it had taken.from the grass type.

 

"Looks like we'll be having a close range brawl. Use pound again."

 

Evergreen nodded and continued to attack the buneary and the wild Pokemon did the same. At this point, it was down to who could get the last hit in.

 

Kyubi also noticed that Evergreen was beginning to grow tired, but had faith in him. "Use pound again." She said.

 

The Trecko nodded and slammed another glowing fist into the buneary. Instead of attacking, though, the wild Pokemon just curled into a ball when it could've knocked out Evergreen.

 

Kyubi wasn't about to look a gift ponyta in the mouth and nodded to her Trecko. "End this." She said.

 

The grass type nodded and slammed another glowing fist into the buneary, this time knocking it out.

 

Kyubi smiled and gently rubbed Evergreen's head. "Good job." She said. Of course, the Trecko did enjoy the attention.
