Tried my hoof at free handing

So last night i decided that i wanted to try and learn to draw ponies in every way i could. I picked free-handing first as i can use a pencil/pen much better than i can use an art program at the moment. Anyway i'm using image references for now and eyeballing it without tracing. Tried this with Derpy using these images:

And i ended up with these (The standing one i wasn't exactly trying to copy, and used the second reference image more to see how to draw a standing up pony):

I think it turned out decently as this is the first time that i've tried free-handing a pony, but i know there are quite a few things i could improve upon. Thoughts? Comments? (Sorry if this is in the wrong section).

Not bad. Perhaps just doing one line art instead of the two line will look slightly better for it just being a sketch. And there's nothing wrong with tracing as long as you don't claim it as your own picture. I trace all teh time to help give me a feel for teh character. I havn't had time to trace any pony art recently so it currently sucks lol. But keep practicing!!
