Crystal hugs him and kisses him "Our wedding is going to be so wonderful darling, Lady Rarity has already said she will do my dress for it" she says and nuzzles into his mane "a-and Lulu says she will be my bride's maid" she says and closes her eyes before her stomach growls

"I know the wedding will be because your the most wonderful mare I could have ever met." Indicus heard Crystal's stomach growl and laughed. "Well honey we should get up and get something to eat if your chilly I may have a little something for that." Indicus focused his magic hoping the spell he had been playing with would work out if not he would be quite tired with nothing to show.

 

With a mental image in mind he gathered energy around him calling to the realm of shadows the place his mentor told him his power truly came from and cast the spell and then he felt a new appendage on his back looking behind himself he saw a pair of bat like wings each the length of his arm. They seemed to be made of his magic, creating the illusion that the shadows themselves made up these wings.

 

Upon touching one it felt like touching leather, and it was quite warm. He felt a light tingle from the area he touched. Indicus took a deep breath to recover a little, the spell  taking more energy then he usually put into a single spell. "Well surprisingly enough that worked I had a few doubts, though the spell will probably fade in about an hour." He wrapped the new appendage  around Crystal. "There that should help with the cold."

Crystal blushes and snuggles underneath his wings "You truly do make me happy" she says and smiles "I am quite hungry, I wonder if the chefs remember my favorite meals" she says with a giggle and walks alongside him to the dining area. "Mmm some teriyaki chicken, sweet and sour pork, pork dumplings..." she licks her lips and giggles at the images of the feast awaiting them.

"Well lets see if some of chefs you knew are still there if not then i'm sure the ones there will be happy to help anyways." Indicus walked with Crystal to the dining area, enjoying the feel of the new appendage, that seemed to behave and feel like actual wings. He enjoyed most of all the warmth he felt from Crystal through the wings. Eventually they arrived at the dining area and Indicus pulled up a seat for Crystal to sit in.

"thank you dear" Crystal says with a soft smile before sitting down and kissing his cheek, just then a middle aged mare emerges from the kitchen, "ah mr Indicus, it's been quite a while, the usual?" she asks and then her eyes narrow "is it...can it be..Crystal? Crystal Cocoon?" she asks and runs over to her, she hugs her "I-I thought wh-when the Crystal empire disappeared..."

 

"Bella?" Crystal says with a hopeful smile "Is i.." she is then hugged and she hugs her back "I went into self exile, after Sombra committed genocide against my kind..I sent Shaded away and went into exile..A century later, I was found by Indicus here, and now we are engaged to be married" she says and nuzzles Indicus "Bella here was my nursemaid whenever my mother brought me here whenever she had to come her for business"

 

Bella smiles "Us Crystal ponies don't age like the non-Crystal ponies"

Indicus smiles something he found himself to be doing quite a bit. "Well I seem to be finding out a lot about old acquaintances and their relations to my marefriend. Anyway yes I would like the usual and I believe you know what Crystal would like. Like Crystal said we're slated to get married in the near future though we get to survive the Grand Galloping Gala first."

Bella smiles and nods "Indeed I do, does she still have a veracious appetite?" she asks with a slight giggle in her voice, making Crystal blush but nods. 

 

"Y-yes, but I get enough love from everypony here" she says with a smile "C-could you please get me a glass of strawberry milk too Bells?"

 

Bella smiles "Of course sweetheart, anything for my favorite filly" she says and goes off to the kitchen

 

Crystal smiles and nuzzles Indicus "I'm meeting so many old friends here, it's w-wonderful" she says with a slight murr

Indicus nods in agreement. "It seems there are plenty of your old friends still around after all this time." It is not long till their food is placed in front of them. Indicus looked at the sausage, biscuit, eggs, bacon on his plate with a smile a glass of grape juice next to his plate. "Bella, you have done a great job like always, thanks."

Bella smiles and bows slightly "You flatter me Indicus and Crystal dear, I've cooked it just the way you like it"

 

Crystal could smell her meal from a mile away and nods "I agree with Indi, you've really outdone yourself, thank you" she says before she lifts up the lid to reveal special fried rice with shrimp, teriyaki chicken, sweet and sour pork, lemon chicken, fried king prawns and pork dumplings.

Indicus started eating, "Bella you are one of the few I let cook anything I eat, let Shaded cook once and I swear the bugs were running away in fear. From then on I did the squad's cooking he managed to fail MRE's, love him like a brother but I hesitate letting him near a kitchen but somehow his grilling is not bad."

Bella smiles "I am glad you both like your food, I must be off though, my fiance is awaiting me, but if you should ever want more, I made a lot and its in the fridge" she says before running off towards her chambers to spend the day with her fiance and adopted filly.

Indicus thanks Bella once more before continuing to eat even getting seconds. He always liked Bella's cooking it was a nice change from the field rations back during his service, and better then any pony restaurant that served a vegetarian only menu. It helped that Bella did not mind the smell of meat unlike most ponies he had met in Equestria. Once Indicus finished he the castle kitchen staff collected the dishes.

Crystal smiles as she ate her own food, getting seconds and even thirds and fourths, as it had been over a century since she last ate Bella's food. She smiles and closes her eyes as she leaned back in her chair and giggles at her stomach being a bit bigger "Look at me love, I look as if I'm pregnant"

Indicus couldn't help but laugh at the joke finding it to be quite accurate as the large amount of food stretched her belly a bit. "Bella's food is very good and hey it doesn't hurt to indulge every once in awhile. So now what next, the sting won't be for another day so barring Celestia and Luna getting lazy and having me do court for them I should have absolutely nothing urgent to do." Indicus really hoped that they would not pull that stunt again the last time they did he held himself from using his magic to start throwing nobles out of the room.

Crystal smiles and nods "Well I'm up for a nice walk through the gardens, I'm curios to see how much it has changed since I was last here, if at all" she says as she stands up and smiles at him "other than that, I'd like to check up on little Sugar, she seemed to be having mixed dreams before"

"Sounds like a plan to me, it has been quite awhile since I last entered the castle gardens and last I was there it was quite peaceful." Indicus gets up once more wraps one of his magically created wings around her. "So a walk through the gardens before checking on Sugar. Lets do it." Indicus said with no lack of enthusiasm.

She smiles as she gets up and links arms with him "then let us go to the garden my love, I hope they still have the nightblooms and fire lilies I planted there as a filly" she giggles and rests her head on his shoulder as they walked side by side towards the palace gardens.

Indicus loops a hand around Crystal's waist as they walk. "I believe I saw some nightblooms and fire lilies last I checked, but that was quite a time ago." Indicus escorted Crystal to the garden entrance. The chirps of birds, rustle of leaves and tittering of various critters going about. "Well here we are Crystal, the Canterlot Gardens."

"It's so lovely Indicus, just like how I remember it as a filly" she says softly and rests her head on his shoulder "It's so peaceful and serene, I love it here" she says as she sits down on the ground and picks a flower "A pretty flower, for a pretty filly" she says with a soft smile

Indicus looked around taking in the scenery, he was content being here with a beautiful marefriend "It is isn't it." Indicus picked up a fire lily and put it in Crystal's mane, "A beautiful flower for a very beautiful mare." Indicus looked at Crystal for a moment. "The flower complements you well."

Crystal smiles and blushes "Do you think little Sugar Drop will like this flower? I think it will make her even cuter than she already is" she says, hugging him close "she is just so precious, and I hope miss Night Vsion wouldn't mind if I asked to foalsit little Sugar Drop."

"Im sure Sugar Drop will like it and I'm sure Night Vision would not mind you baby sitting Sugar Drop if anything I'm sure she would be very appreciative of you." Indicus found a nice bench sitting in front of a wide array of flowers and trees with animals going to and fro some even stopping to look at the two ponies currently present.

Night Vision was going on her nightly walk with Sugar Drop before she went on duty and she couldn't help but hear and smiles as they walk over "E-excuse me y-your highnesses, I couldn't help but overhear your conversation" she says with a bow but Crystal smiles and lifts up her chin "Darling, please do not be so formal around us, I am no longer a queen, just a Changeling, we are all friends here.

 

Night Vision nods and stands up to see Crystal snuggling up to Sugar Drop and sighs with a smile "A-as I was saying, I couldn't help but overhear and I w-would be overjoyed if m-miss Crystal would babysit my little one, and I know Sugar would be too, she thinks that Crystal is the hound of the moon" (I think that's the correct saying)

 

Crystal was happily letting the little filly snuggle up to her and nuzzle into her chest "She's such a precious little angel" she says softly so as to not to wake her up.

Indicus watched with a smile a thought of how convenient the timing was came to mind but he dismissed it. "Well see Crystal told you Night Vision would be happy to let you foal sit young Sugar Drop." The stallion looked at the filly, "she is adorable as can be almost could weaponize the cuteness."

Night Vision smiles and nods "she's the light of my life, and i truly do appreciate it your highness" she says to Crystal, then realizes "I-I'm sorry Crystal, you're just so..."

 

She looks up and smiles while still cuddling the filly "Beautiful? So I've been told dear, but thank you regardless, and I can see why she is the light of your life, she is full of so much foal like wonder, innocence and love"
