Will g4ers ever influence a true pony crossover?

Sure, there have been references throughout g4 eluding to or incorporating past generation characters- Pinkie Pie's g3 face switch in "TMPP", Tirek, the Smooze, Twilight, Applejack, IDW's "Reflections" arc and EQG touching on parallel dimensions...

 

But will we ever see enough interest in the fan base for Hasbro to do a full on cross generation crossover, with ponies from g1 to g3 having to meet g4 (whose ponies ate also scattered elsewhere) and save the multiverse, or something?

 

Can you guys imagine a team of Minty (g3) Pinkie Pie (g4), Twilight Sparkle (g4) Toola Roola (g3), Melody (g1.5), and Firefly (g1) or a roster of various other gen ponies having to come together to save entire AU's and timelines?

any particular reason? Brownies have clamored for Minty, who makes semifrequent merchandise appearances, have influenced background ponies in the show, and in movies, so who's to say they can't get enough hype so Hasbro and staff can see if they want a gen crossover? Anything is possible

I didn't know chocolate desserts loved Minty . Still, if Minty does show up, it wouldn't have anything to do with past gens, as she wouldn't be the first case of former toyline exclusive to make it to the show (Blossomfort is the one I can remember right now )

way too early to say, though. When we first met g1 AJ, she was picking apples- like G4 AJ is heavy on the Apple theme. G4 RD has a personality much like G1 Firefly, so who can say a g4 Minty won't also resemble her past gen self?

She WILL resemble her past gen self, physically at least. Past ponies tended to be generic, and little to go on them. If Minty shows up in FiM, she'll be very different personality-wise
