"How Dare You!" Out of the night sky, a fiery brown blur flew through Steel Accord's cloud, dispersing it and ruining his aim. The blur turned back came with at a great speed. It stopped right infront of the grey Pegasus. Seeing he had nothing to rest on, prince used his horn to pick up steel by the wing tips, holding him in midair like a cat holding a mouse by the tail. He crossed his arms and looked at steel with a very displeased look. "What are you doing?" he asked like a mother asking her son. The phoniex landed on princes head and chirped then stopped as his mane and tail started to turn vermillion.

 

"When I said wait for the opportune moment." Steel began. "I DIDN'T MEAN SIC YOUR MEGA-PET ON LITTLE CRITTERS! Besides, even if I got off a kill shot, Amy would have gotten back up in minutes!"

"Why defend my actions against a royal demigod?" Steel resigned. Held in his Prince and friend's power and judgment, he hung there in anger. He couldn't be Fluttershy's knight! "I'm a protector. If there is a threat, I'm going to fight it. That's what I was trained for. That's what I meant to do." Steel pointed to his cutie-mark. "Fluttershy is . . . . holy. There's no better way to describe her. She solves problems without violence because she CAN! Her kindness is a power the likes of which I've never seen! She's more than just a caretaker . . . she's LIFE itself!"

Her tears make my soul weep and then cry for vengeance against whatever party responsible for visiting such sorrow upon the one who would do her worst enemy no harm!" Steel's words poured from his soul. "I see what this was now, Sire. This was all a test to prove if I was . . . safe for her. I've proven myself nothing more than an irritable thug. He grabbed 3 small clouds and brought them together and put the two Pegasi on it. "He teleported a medium sized cake with clothe and apple cider in wine glasses up there with them. He lite two candles and whistled to Amy. She flew down and came back with angel bunny in her mouth, she let him down on the cloud then nudged him give an apology. "Tell her what you told me." Prince still hovered with arms crossed and horn glowing for use at anytime.

Steel was too emotionally exhausted to be surprised or embarrassed. "Fluttershy." He began. "I've had feelings for you for quite some time now. Ever since I first saw you at Cloudsdale during the Young Flier's Competition. You were so supportive of Rainbow Dash yet so quiet. But when she did the Sonic Rainboom, her success brought you such joy that you burst out cheering. When I saw you at the Grand Galloping Gala . . . . I couldn't believe my eyes how beautiful you were. My biggest regret was of being called away early that night instead of following you into the gardens. You were great in the Hearts Warming Eve pageant. You stopped Cerberus with your kindness. You are so . . . . amazing, Fluttershy." Steel's ears went back. "But I now realize my folly. You have such unconditional love of life that you are unfettered by worldly concerns. You are pure!" Steel turned away from her. "I am just a soldier. Crude, bound, and base. I defend what I love with the sword." Steel looked back into Fluttershy's eyes with the deepest sincerity he could summon. "What I love is my home . . . and you." With his piece finally spoken, Steel was now resigned to his fate. "All I want is for you to be happy. Even if that means removing myself from the story." Steel awaited the Prince's sentence.

Steel looked across from the table at Fluttershy. So certain he was of his fate that to not only obtain amnesty, but it come so casually threw him for a loop. Not only that, but to hear Fluttershy genuinely returned his feelings despite his violent occupation! . . . He didn't know what to do besides this. "Fluttershy." He said as he flew to her side.
