Will there ever be a fully theatrically released EG film?

Well the first two were given very very limited releases in theaters, so there's that.

But if you mean a big budget Hollywood animated film, that gets full theatrical release, I don't think there will be anytime soon, even if I wouldn't be opposed to the idea.

That depends. If the pony movie fails, you can kiss your dream goodbye. However, if it's successful, and Hasbro is willing to make another box office movie, there's no guarantee it'll be of EG as it can be 100% ponies also. Still, a feature film of EG could be a perfect finale

I'm not sure there's any major precedent for a series of TV movies leaping to the big screen, and I'm not convinced that EqG has enough of an ingrained fan base to fully justify that regardless. Plus, would moviegoers struggle with the backstory to that point? EqG is generally more serialized than MLP.
