This is me wearing one of my favorite hats! I don't know why I love it. I stole from my dad. XD. This was just a doodle on my notes from school today.

The simplest way to explain the difference between Hats and caps:

Hats have brims, which go all the way around the cover.

Caps have Bills, which one go out in one direction.

 

They are both, however, covers.

Which, traditionally, are not worn indoors o3o

This, as it turns out is called a flat cap. I didn't look it up until just now. But thanks everypony! I will try to developer my style a bit and hopefully have even better drawings/ doodles in the feature!
