ManaMinori 4,145 March 4, 2017 Share March 4, 2017 His name is FluffyMcFeatherbutt (technically, it's Glitterbomb- a name no less embarrassing), and he's a Hippalectryon. The FiM world needed more bird-butts. source: http://duomochiaro.deviantart.com/art/Fluffy-McFeatherbutt-667001347 4 Under the Jellicle Moon- a site with cuteness, cat boys, and comic strips / Star Dreams Fanclub
Lunarpalette 2,175 March 6, 2017 Share March 6, 2017 I don't know what to say about the bird posterior but this is a really cool design! I need to think of something unique like this before all the good ideas are gone!

I need to think of something unique like this before all the good ideas are gone! was my first time drawing a Hippalectryon. Quite proud of it, actually. I'm glad you like the design, at least. I don't think you have to worry about grabbing the unique ideas before they're all gone. Most of the fandom seems to prefer sticking to keeping to the three races of pegasi, unicorn, and earth pony. 1 Under the Jellicle Moon- a site with cuteness, cat boys, and comic strips / Star Dreams Fanclub

Oki. But I still see so many unique ideas like this and it does make me afraid that I don't have as much of an expansive imagination as I thought I did. I guess that is a fear of mine. Not being creative enough. But I'll get there! I just gotta start thinking now! but yeah, I really do like the design. And I though Discord would have an appreciation as well
Widdershins 9,960 March 6, 2017 Share March 6, 2017 Just flipped over to your link too & read your backstory as well! Still have to ask though as I'm rather lost on that point: What is a Hippalectryon? Hee, do want to ask as I have an OC of my own that I call a Reverse Hippogriff & I'm pondering if your term doesn't apply too! And... well, I do hate to sound harsh, so I by all means don't wish to come across as mean spirited, but I'm not entirely sold on him. My, uh, biggest issue is...uhm... Please...please tell me he isn't... a... uhm, child "escort." As it stands, I worry about a small, young-faced colt having a relationship with presumably an older dragon. That... tends to... be about the size of a house. Not that I am by any means saying that I have not considered dating a dragon before, just... you know, the mechanics of it, you know? A bit of stylization is warranted of course. I can tell a lot of it is how you prefer to do your art, on account of how similar he looks to your profile pic that also looks like you made it yourself. While I do tend to balk about the trend of pony OCs having striped manes, it does work well on him though. A bit of a metallic sheen blue does seem appropriate for feathers so I can see him having a literal feathered mane too. But... well, for one, his head is bigger than his entire body. Cute, sure, but that just adds a bit too much to the frail look he has. As for the rainbow irises, the eyebrows ending in a heartshape & that foil colored horn seems alot like the usual, overdone trend of throwing as much sparkle at your character in an attempt to catch attention. It's... just a bit much... for me anyway. Heavens, that chest is so fluffy~...*ahem* Piercings I don't mind much, the colored streak works, the oversized ears even, just... well I don't know how to put this. I certainly don't hate him any, I find that hard to do in general, just... he still seems a bit raw still... Beatings & Salivations Everybeing! Creativity is something blatantly important to me as is no doubt evidenced by the 28 OCs I have posted here of the some forty plus I have, they're linked altogether at the bottom of my About Me page in my Profile & I would deeply cherish anything you wish to say about them! Among which of those I am proudest most of is my Draconequusona, His/My Ask Thread and my Hydra, Gallimaufry or "Mauf" and their own Ask Thread! Either way, sufficed to say, I am quite confident I have more OCs than you! Crazier to! Do You have a tatzelpony?! No, I rather think you don't! Hew-Hew-hew! He's most certainly NOT an escort, nor is he a child. He's a host (there's a difference. No outings, and no hanky panky with customers). And He just has a baby face. And dragons come in different shapes and sizes. (Just look at Garble, Spike, and Ember) I think his head is appropriate for his body. It's just the floofiness of his hair that makes it look a lot bigger than it should be. He has very floofy hair. But thanks for the critique. I'll keep it in mind in the future. The eye doesn't end in a heart. It's supposed to be on his cheek. It's just that they're so close together that it looks that way. The rainbow eyes and foil horn may be a bit overkill, but I felt that he needed a bit more pop of color than the dark and (what some would call rave-y or emo) black, purple and teal. , and that the rainbow eyes made for a nice touch, since it wasn't all over his body. I'll settle for the fact that you don't hate him. Thanks again for the critique. Now, just bury your face in the fluffy chest and forget everything.... Oki. But I still see so many unique ideas like this and it does make me afraid that I don't have as much of an expansive imagination as I thought I did. I guess that is a fear of mine. Not being creative enough. But I'll get there! I just gotta start thinking now! but yeah, I really do like the design. And I though Discord would have an appreciation as well all it takes is a bit of research. There's tons of good mythological creatures out there that you can draw from. Or even create out of your own imagination. You want a catbear, then you go and make a catbear. You want a moosemouse, then make a moosemouse. You're only limited by your own imagination. thanks for liking his design. ...I do wonder how Discord would indeed react to meeting a Hippalectryon. Probably wouldn't phase him, what with him being the embodiment of bloody chaos. 2 Under the Jellicle Moon- a site with cuteness, cat boys, and comic strips / Star Dreams Fanclub
