"That is good, fear is the very thing that will work in their favour"

"We should get some rest, it is getting dark."

It was until very late in the night, it was very silent.

But unknown to anyone things were going to change fast.

"Yesss.. ... just a little more..."

The mark on Jacks arm started crackling with energy, its red glow shining as bright as ever.

Snapping of bones could be heard as his body was twisting in weird directions, his body floating a few meters above the grounds.

Until a snapping sound could be heard, and the once floating Jack now landed on the ground.

His eyes giving off a golden glow, and his entire skin looked insanely dark.

His pose has changed to from the once stance of a biped into that of a bloodthirsty werewolf, standing on its 2 feet.

"It is time, pleasure will await us all!!" The creature screamed from its mouth, yet his mouth didn't seem to be moving, almost as if was screaming its mind across him.

He teleported away, straight to where once the big battle had been the same day.

He used his powers to lift one of the dead royal guard's bodies into the air, and then it exploded, but it left a red glow to where its body had just been.

"Followers of Kra'zhac!! Hear me!! A feast of blood and skulls awaits you!!" It roared those words with an insane volume.

TC-308 heard Jacks transformation but didn't move until he teleported out. He woke up Nameless and they quietly looked outside, following Jack's  doings. They whispered to each other "Well, this took a turn, didn't it?" "Indeed". Close by, the Light blue mare from earlier could be seen, sitting and watching Jack, looking rather...happy.

The demon was performing a ritual, lots of bodies were piled up together, and the red thing in the sky started taking shape.

Almost like a portal opening up, only here it was crackling with energy, the emerging effect of the portal caused the weather to go crazy, it started thundering.

The demon then started levitating up the bodies one by one and throwing with into the portal.

While the demon was in control, the body of Jack itself almost seemed like a separate creature, it started roaring constantly in the sky and was looking at the portal with an abnormal attention.

"Yes!! Ment this flesh!! Deliver your powers to me Lord of carnage! So I may slaughter all in your name!" His voice boomed across Ponyville

His voice sounded very distorted, looking very out of character for the body he was currently in control of.

"That's not good" Nameless whispered before he sneaked out of the shack and went little closer, still staying hidden. When in range, he started raising walls from the ground, trying to isolate the portal.

The demon suddenly saw walls going up to the portal, trying to seal it off.

"Are you weakling this desperate in trying to save your own hides? Pathetic!"

He roared with an ear cringing volume, a force that shattered the walls and all the ground under beneath it, leaving burning ashes as its remains.

"I will remember you all fondly when I burn your world to ash!"

Out of his mouth massive flames, he used his fire breath as a long ranged flamethrower, burning everything in a wide arc all around, in an attempt to burn Nameless alive.

He flames were spreading like an ocean of fire as everything around him started burning like crazy.

 

 

[Catpone Cerberus 23,616]

When flames reached Nameless and TC-308, they circled around them, like pushed by invisible force. "Needing some assistance Traveler?" From behind them, came dark coated pegasus with a floating mask next to him. "Grin? What are you doing here?" "I got to know that our little runaway was having fun." Grin said as he looked at the light blue mare who looked angry and disappeared, "And that's usually a bad thing." He then passed Nameless and walked straight towards Jack-demon. "Hey you there!" then the mask spoke "Let's dance, shall we?"

The demon looked behind, seeing his opponent, he had twisted smile on his face.

"Ah, you finally decide to show your faces!"

"Rejoice creatures! Your slavery to the incompetent princess ends today!!"

His body started acting up more and more, his bloodlust increasing by the sight of enemies.

 

[Catpone Cerberus 23,616]

"Blah Blah, always the same thing, I don't actually even like the princesses, but still, Mask." "Yes." Red glow ignited in Grins eyes, and in unison, The Mask and Grin spoke, "I, The bearer of the ancient power, call the fallen, to join and fight once more!" Behind them appeared a slight fog, and from that fog started coming out numerous creatures, all with light blue color and empty eyes. "I ask you again creature, Shall we dance?"

"I shall gladly do the dance of death, and show you flesh bags what your final destination is going to be."

"But do not think you are going to find safety in numbers, it shall aid you none..."

He teleported away, only to reappear behind one of the creatures, and started slashing at it like a wild animal.

The creature that was slashed didn't even flinch, it just stared at Jack-demon as he slashed it's body. Meanwhile other creatures that were closest attacked him at the same time and those who were further away, started going towards him. When others attacked, the one being slashed broke into the fog and rose again little farther away. "Fallen can fall time to time, but they shall fight until end of the time."

The demon was getting engaged from multiple sides, attacking relentlessly while getting an even stronger assault towards him.

When he knew he couldn't every single target around him with his melee, he let out an exploding shockwave around him, coal black rocks shattered from the ground at every direction, they looked a lot like the ones Sombra conjured.

Everything around him got blown back as the red flow spread around him.

"Very impressive, you are showing more resistance then your warriors who you call a species!"

The atmosphere in Ponyville was changing a lot, a red tint could be seen around them, and the temperature was skyrocketing, making everything extremely hot.

"But sadly you all rely on those fragile bodies of yours, unable to fight when you draw your last breath, but I am not restricted to such a liability... Your understanding of the warp is too meager to even realise that!"

"Allow me to show you what power you could all possess!"

The portal suddenly seemed to increase in size, its energies emerging from all directions and leaking into reality.

The daemon's eyes got an even brighter glow as he shot countless of warp fire projectiles at his opponents, intending on reducing them all to ash in a single attack.

[Catpone Cerberus 23,616]

When projectiles hit the light blue creatures, some of them broke into fog and came back further away, and some didn't seem to react. And what it came to the three living ponies, there was magical force-field protecting them. Terrain didn't seem to slow the creatures down as the closed in again, in fact ,it looked like they went through anything that could have slowed them down. Now Grin and the mask was laughing. "You are the one who don't understand, Fallen shall never fall again." "You can't kill something that is already dead." "And if you did manage to destroy me, I would come back to fight you until end of the time." "You might defeat death, but nothing can defeat the most powerful force, time." Grin started also attacking with magical blasts, but he aimed them towards the portal. Nameless and TC suddenly disappeared.

"Nice little speech you got there, I do hope you have the power to back up those words, I won't have a shortage of that."

But as he said those words his opponents started firing magical blast towards the portal, the blast seemed to impact with the energy of the portal itself, but instead of getting destroyed the portal started accelerating its foul work.

"A puny attempt at stopping the unstoppable, your biggest mistake was challenging me without knowing a single thing about the warp itself, the very incompetence that makes your species ignorant to everything that is happening outside your soon to be death world!!"

The demon was laughing like a maniac, but something seemed to interfere with its hold on the body a second.

"What was that?!"

Out of the sudden Grin received telepathic messages sent straight into his mind.

'Magic won't work on the tear! I can reverse the warp energies but I will only be able to do it for so long, when I give my signal, you must destroy my body at all cost!'

'But even that he will drag my soul with him as he goes, you must do it! I cannot answer for long, my grip is losing grasp within every second!!' Jack seemed to almost scream in desperation.'

"My species? Don't make me laugh" "You are not talking to this creature I speak through, you really think it could hold this power." "We are not as different as you think." He got the message. "Oh, is that so...." Grin then aimed his magical attacks at the demon and the creatures seemed to start moving faster as they attacked the demon.

"You and I are more alike then you could realise my dear opponent, even if our existence is parallel.

As magical attacks were fired towards the demon, he tried to repeal the incoming attack with a mass wave of energy, but something was interrupting his powers.

As he growled he got hit by the wave of magical attacks, but when the smoke emerged the body seemed to have survived, but the injuries were very noticeable.

"Ment accursed flesh! Ment!!!" it roared in anger.

'I thank you for your help, I owe you all, I will never forget any of you, life is precious, and the way you all handled it here is a true wonder.' Jack seemed to talk again.

'Ah I see, it is the boy.."

"Go ahead and destroy this body, it will then be my pleasure to drag the stubborn spirit of Jack Gonriel in the depths of the warp!'

'As much as I would love to protect life itself, you deserve more the luxury of that life, but I do not. Do not listen to him, tear him from this plane.' He said with a hint of sadness in his voice'

[Catpone Cerberus 23,616]

"You really think I care?" "I never met him, this creature never met him." "Those who my host cares about are safe" Grin flew next to the demon and protected by the force-field he stared him/it right into eyes, "You are weak, bound to a flesh, but I, the flesh is bound to me" from closer it could be heard that, the main voice that was talking, was The Mask's. The creatures got now even more aggressive and Grin started blasting the demon with magic from the really close range.

'That is a good mindset to have, I respect that.'

As the demon was getting pounded by all of the attacks, he eventually got knocked back to the ground.

He stood up, its body was buried with wounds and burned skin, yet he had a big smirk on his face, a very unusual thing for someone who just got a massive beating.

"You are half life right, right I am bound, but to what purpose? Your weakness is your ignorance towards the truth, who says this is my end? This was just a mere possession."

"Your lack of sympathy is the very thing that is going to secure my victory, you will not notice it now, but others do..."

It seemed to laugh like a maniac until something completely unexpected happened.

The demon willingly lets go of possession, all his control over the body just got swooped away like nothing.

The golden eyes and the dark skin also seemed to vanish, giving back the old appearance.

And so the body fell on the ground, with Jack slowly regaining control.

As he stood up, he just stared at a distance, no emotion whatsoever.

The portal had closed when the demon left control, and so the atmosphere starting to return to normal as well.

After 2 minutes Jack wandered away, leaving everything that just transpired among him.

"Then I will be here waiting for you again." "Sympathy is for those bound by life...." "It left..." Grin's eyes stopped glowing, the creatures disappeared, and he dropped to the ground panting heavily. Nameless and TC-308 ran from a distance. Nameless went next to Grin and TC made his way to Jack and waved his hoof in front of his eyes.

Jack was staring into the distance, until the hoof of TC came into his view, snapping him out of his thoughts.

"We are done for, I was too late.."

He took no effort into hiding his anger, he clenched his fist.

"That portal was not just a gateway, it was also acting as a distress signal, that monster has been counting on it, and I was too late to stop him."

"The outcome is going to be obvious, you may all not be aware what has transpired, but I know what is going to happen, there are going to be thousands, millions of them, and all it took was a simple diversion...."

Jack wandered to the forest, heading straight back into the everfree forest without saying another word.

TC-308 and Nameless looked at each other, they went to both sides of Grin and helped him up. And then Nameless and TC supporting Grin, all three followed Jack little distance away from him.Nameless gave his notebook to the mask to catch Grin up with what they knew.

As they walked, Jack was lost in thoughts.

'My greatest fears came true, but there was no delaying it. I hate to think this but nobody here will be able to defend themselves forever, they won't stop coming until everything is worn out and defenceless..'

'If only Kiran was here.. He would know what to do... But he is not here right now, by all rights I shouldn't even be here, my plan was to go back to Cyril, and join the Resistance there. But it never came to that, and my friend is still out there fighting while I am here being the cause of more innocent deaths. What can I do at this point?'

The trip was rather silent, and it was unknown where they were even going to, especially after what had transpired earlier.

The three ponies and the mask didn't disturb Jack but they quietly talked with each other. Grin slowly recovered from his exhaustion but wasn't still fully able to walk straight, and was still supported by the two others.

As they were walking, suddenly sounds could be heard.

Out of nowhere, a magic projectile flew past their faces at the speed of a sniper bullet.

Jack turned his head and gritted his teeth at what he saw.

The same warriors that attacked Ponyville that same day had the group surrounded, 40 warriors surrounded them from every direction, their magical firearms and melee weapons pointed at them.

Among them stood their leader, starting at them with her cold eyes.

"You have caused quite the disturbance, wich was exactly the distraction we needed."

Jack glared at them with hate in his eyes "You and your army slaughtered innocent lives like they were nothing! Not only our race, but every other alien life out there is facing extinction, yet you slaughter everything that is left of them?!"

"You are ignorant to the facts, we preserve the future of our existence, did you really think Valtrek would overlook this planet? Nothing last forever child. That is the cycle of life."

"This planet is but a small price to pay, to save a doomed race."

She shot magical traps all around the group, preventing them even further from moving.

 

[Catpone Cerberus 23,616]

The ponies didn't say anything, but Mask disappeared and soon appeared again next to the leader, outside the magical traps. "Is that so? Dooming one race is small price to pay, when saving a doomed race? Sounds more like equal price than small price to me." It was looking right at the leader, and it could be seen that there was slight red glow in the eye-holes. "I might be wrong, since I'm not part of this whole cycle of life thing, but I think I'm right." "But since you seem to be so stupid creature anyway, I'm not surprised you being wrong."

"You would be surprised how ignorant you all are. But it doesn't really matter, changing the course of events is the only thing we need."

Suddenly from behind 2 warriors let out an ear bleeding scream, the vibration felt strong as the sound pierced its surroundings.

These chain of events caused the traps to activate, ensnaring the group in magic.

5 pair of warriors armed with their firearms starting unloading their bolts into the mask, trying to attack it.

But during all this confusion, Iythronel's started the glowing, and the group was teleported away in a massive spell, along with all of the warriors surrounding them.

"You will have your pets back soon, I just have to borrow them for a little while."

She then vanished out of existence.

The whole confrontation had turned out to be a trap, an order to capture the group.

Jack later woke up, bound in magical chains.

He looked at him, giving a glance at his 3 allies who also had been victim to the trap.

He took his other surroundings and at the other side of the room they where in he saw a creature similar to him bound in magical chains.

It had a coat mixed with black and dark orange, his orange eyes stared at the group with an emotionless expression.

But compared to Jack, this one was a lot older, scars and past wound were covered all over his body, most notably his left ear had been badly damaged.

It seemed to eye them but didn't say anything.

Jack then looked back to his allies.

"You guys alright?"
