A bat's shadow RP (1x1 Rp w/ Maple Bat)

Maple looked around the cavern "Yea this looks hidden enough." She said taking it all in "And it'll be close to you so if it's found then you can alert someone quickly." She said loving the cool air of the cavern.

Shadow nodded and started pouring the water into the cavern. He had a feeling, he was forgetting something. He exited out of it and headed into the basement to check on Chrysalis. He said as he opened the door, "Are you feeling completely better, or did you black out again?" He referred to the episode of her trying to attack them as a blackout.

"Still angry but other than that I'm normal again." Chrysalis said but please don't bring up your magic of friendship. I don't care to much for it." Once again mocking him for being a more friendly person.

Shadow rolled his eyes and said, "Honestly, I'm just trying to keep you comfortable, since your hive seems to be doing quite well without you. Also, I only have one friend." He got rid of the chains surrounding her body but kept the one on her back hoof.

"How is the hive doing ok without me? How would you know that?" Chrysalis said "Have you taken control over them" She asked with curiosity 

Meanwhile Maple was thanking her parents for the help with the spring and let them go home then headed back over to Shadows house smelling a nice pie as she walked in.

Shadow said as he shrugged, "You could say that, I haven't heard of changelings flying across Equestria or that the hive tore itself apart. I gave the changeling orders to keep the hive alive. Would you like some books to read?" He heard the door open and decided to handle that in a bit.

"Yea at least It'll be something to do" Chrysalis said "Its better than sitting here doing nothing all day, Do you intend to release me at all?"

Maple was curious if she could have so of the pie she wanted to ask first but didn't know where Shadow was so she just waited for him.

Shadow nodded and said, "Okay, I'll go get some books, and if you promise to not try to run off, I'll allow you to 'chat' with your changelings, to see that I'm correct." He closed the door but didn't bother locking it since he's the only one that can get the chains and ring off. He headed upstairs and pulled the pie out of the oven. Since the oven wasn't on the entire time. It was baked and cooled.

"Hey Shadow" Maple said as he walked in "Whatcha maken'." She was happy that they where able to handle the whole situation with the lake and that Her mother was alright that she was back to her normal happy self which she hadn't been like since the sombra attack.

He said as he cut it into slices, "Just a pie for the sake of making one." He grabbed the can of whipping cream out of the fridge and placed it next to the pie. He leaned against the counter as he looked at the bottle. If a small stream went for a few seconds, and dipping in the lake went for a few minutes, then what would the effects be for a drop.

"Do ya think I could have a slice of that pie?" Maple asked "I don't really care what kind it is. Oh but first need to write a letter and don't worry I'll keep the spring confidential." She went to the guest room and wrote her usual letter.

Shadow nodded and decided to try something. He dished up a slice of pie, placed the bottle on the counter, opened a portal and went through to the library, where he collected a few books for Chrysalis to read, plus a book for himself.

After finishing writing Maple walked back to the kitchen and went to take a slice of that pie. When she saw the bottle she saw smaller versions of the eyes but their gaze wasn't as strong so she just stopped looking at the bottle. And started to eat that slice of pie.

After getting some books that Chrysalis might like. Shadow picked up the book for him and walked through the portal. He stepped out in the basement, opened the door, and said as he placed the books on the ground, "Here you go. From what I learned about you. I got some books that might be to your liking."

"Well thanks then." Chrysalis said she looked at the books rolling her eyes "You ever figure out what that water does. You know the water you dumped on me." She picked up one at random and started reading it with no real intention to finish it.

Shadow nodded and said as he removed the ring on her horn, "it causes the creature to go crazy. You can listen to the hive,but don't call for them or try to teleport. Only I can take the chains off." He closed the door and headed up the stairs

Chrysalis knew that she wasn't getting out alone so even though he said not to she called the hive but not to come rescue her...

"Why are you being so trusting of her?" Maple asked "I've never trusted Changeling and I never will."

Shadow said as he grabbed the bottle, "There are a few things that you learn, one, telling the truth hurts more than a punch, and two, a mother sometimes would do anything for their children's safety. I'm not trusting her, I'm just letting her get comfortable here." He placed the pie in the fridge and headed to try to make use of the water.

"I can see the second one." Maple responded "but the first one doesn't really help your case much. If it hurts to tell the truth why not lie?" She said following him

Meanwhile back in ponyville Fluttershy's 5 best friends invited her to go with them to eat little did she know that those ponies weren't actually her friends. Twilight saw what had happened and quickly sent a letter to Luna and Luna sent one to Maple... But she was to busy to notice right away

Shadow said as he shrugged and diluted the water into a glass, "I told her that the Hive will be alive and better without her anger issues and need for attention." He checked the clock to see it was getting late. Celestia must be dealing with stuff at the moment to lower the sun. It's rare, but it isn't unheard of. He mixed in some illegal herbs that are found outside Equestria and placed the cap on tight.

"Perhaps Luna knows why" Maple said heading to her room seeing a letter in lunas usual parchment "Yea I've got a letter." She opened it and began to read it outloud.

Dear Maple Bat. "That's weird she normally says Dear Captain Maple." She said

We believe you have received this swiftly and you have noticed my sister not lowering the sun yet... She paused... We need you to be aware of the capture of your mother ,Fluttershy, And We have sent several teams of guards to find her and none of them of reported back yet... She knew where she was ... We hope our teams are able to find her but you need to be put on leave due to your connection with her leading to recklessness

She stormed over to where chrysalis was being kept "Chrysalis! What did you do!"

"Wha? I didn't do anything!" she snapped back at Maple "Why blame me."

Maple calmed down "Sorry that was uncalled for."

Shadow walked into the room and said, "Maple, why don't you go lay down and give me and Queen Chrysalis a moment to talk. He marked the pages of the books and said as he rotated his neck, "Okay, here's what's on. Fluttershy was kidnapped and I gave the changeling instructions to live without coming back into the kingdom. It seems more than a coincidence that I take the ring off and Fluttershy is kidnapped a few minutes later. Don't you think?"

"I'm sorry Shadow it's just been really eventful recently I'll go clear my head." Maple said leaving the room

"Why would I order then to do anything but come get me I mean I have more than enough changeling so get rid of both of you." Chrysalis said "Plus even with that ring on I could have easier order them from here anyways which is why the hive hasn't fallen apart. Secondly after you took it off I could have just left but I stayed here so if I issued that order I wouldn't stick around to face Maple's wrath."

Shadow said as he closed the door and locked it, "Ok, let's say that I believe you, this is just a coincidence, and that you are willing to give every detail. Where would they take her, and what would their plan be? I mean they aren't dumb enough to take her without a plan. By taking her, they unleashed Captain Maple's and Discord's fury once they find them" He opened a portal and pulled out a sealed bottle. He said as he shook it back and forth, "Well, since you are there queen and connected to them, are you willing to freely tell me, or does this have to be hard?"

"How do you even know it was changelings what if it was just some other random pony trying to make a quick bit or 2." She said "Ya know someone who does this without thinking about the consequences of what they're doing. Or are you blaming me because I'm a changeling"
