Shadow placed the bottle down and said as he pulled out a wine bottle, "Chrysalis, That's not the reason why. That's the only one's that wouldn't raise any questions and Fluttershy is nervous around new ponies. So it's somewhere to start looking. Do you see my point, and would you like a drink?"

"I could go for it." She said unenthusiastically "If you need some where to start then I would recommend somewhere between Ponyville and Canterlot that's where most of my changelings get jumped by people like I described."

Maple had crumpled up the letter luna sent her So I guess I'm benched for now can't help find my own mother. She was trying to rest but couldn't manage to fall asleep.

Shadow nodded and said as he picked up the bottle and left the wine for Chrysalis, "Thanks." He unlocked the door and headed to the armory. He grabbed a blackened bow and slung it over his back with a knife in a belt. He took the map and headed towards ponyville to begin his search.

Maple did follow him out the door She had finally fallen asleep. After a few hours had passed another letter landed on maple's chest written by Chrysalis?

She opened it and read it and walked over to where she was "You're bluffing."

"No I'm not I swear." Chrysalis said "I'm being honest. How would I have know before hand you wouldn't go with Shadow."

"I hate you and you're offer." Maple said "I'm going to rescue her by myself. Without getting The princess Shadow or even my father involved in this mess. Good luck freeing yourself." She flew off with her armor on and bow in hand. Her destination The Changeling Hive.

Shadow sat down under a tree and plotted the route that was the quickest way from Ponyville to Canterlot. He rolled up the map and started walking the path while seeing if there was anything suspicious

A few ponies stood out as dangerous one with a Blue coated black maned stallion with a scar stood out the most he was wearing a cloak and resting on the side of the road.

 

Maple was furiously flying towards the changeling hive Full anger she channeled her magic into the silver orb in her armor to stop time as she entered the main entrance. Once she was in she picked up the nearest changeling making time move for him only "Where do you keep your prisoners?" She asked him "Tell me or else you die."

The changeling paniced and said "near queen's quarters the room on the left."

Maple used her magic to knock the changeling unconscious and then she lost her ability to use any magic because she got too close to the awful throne.

Shadow walked up to the group and said as he kneeled next to them, "Hi, I was wondering if you have seen any changelings or a yellow pegasus mare with a pink mane and butterflies for a cutie mark around here?" He got ready if any of them bolted or attacked him, but he was hoping they would cooperate with me

"Well we did see one pass." The blue pony said "She looked like she was safe with her friends though. Why ask?"

 

Maple had been spotted by a few changelings she didn't care. Any changeling that got in her way would get knocked down by one or two arrows. She was almost to the throne room...

Shadow said, "Apparently, she is missing or kidnapped from what I heard. I just want to make sure she's safe and it's a misunderstanding. Could  you please show me where or which way they went?" He didn't want to go into more detail since it might make it harder to look.

"Oh yea sure." He said nodding "She went over to that cafe with her friends." He said pointing at a cafe near where the group was resting "We left for a while and when she left we weren't here hope that helps."

Maple in her fury made it to the throne room and got defeated once again by the 4 elite changelings that always protected whoever was in charge but even battered in wounds she kept going only to lose consciousness when she was almost there.

Shadow nodded and said as he got up and brushed his knees off, "Thank you for your time." He headed to the door and looked at the place, he hasn't really noticed it before. He shrugged, walked into the cafe, and looked around the place.

The Cafe was a rather normal place there was a pony at the counter serving drinks, another busing tables and a few scattered around drinking various drink "Hello there." The pony at the counter said "Can I get you anything?"

Shadow walked up and said as he smiled, "No thanks, I'm just looking for a mare. She's a yellow pegasus with a pink mane and three butterflies for her cutie mark. I was told that she was here with some friends."

She thought of the pony and tried to remember a name "Oh Fluttershy!" The Mare at the counter said remembering her name "She left for Canterlot with her friends. After they had all left however we thought we heard a ruckus out by the shop however when we investigated there was nothing out of the ordinary."

Shadow nodded and said, "Thank you for your time." He stepped outside and took to the sky, making it easier to check the ground. He ended up in Canterlot and started walking down the street, looking for anything the guards might miss.

Something shined on the ground catching Shadows eye beside it there was evidence of a struggle. No pony was around the area so there was no pony to question about what could have happened here. The shining object appeared to be a broken piece of a black horn probably from one of her captors.

Shadow landed next to it and sighed as he picked it up. He doesn't have a horn, but he felt sorry for the one that lost it. He didn't bother opening a portal. He jumped into the air and headed for his home, Rainbow would be jealous with how fast he was going. He would have smiled at the thought of the pegasi being out-flown, but he was pissed that Chrysalis had lied to him.  He flew through the window and headed toward the door, without bothering to check his body.

"Good to see you again." Chrysalis said "Guess you found out the truth just as Maple already had." She said motioning towards Maple's empty room. "Do your worst it wont't bring either of them back.Release me and I'll release them both. Sound fair?" She held out her hoof.

Shadow said as he pulled out a syringe filled with the water in the bottle that was sealed, "No, and have fun with your fears and insecurities." He placed the ring on her horn, injected the syringe into her hoof and left the room. He walked into the armory and opened a chest. He brushed the dust off a set of armor and strapped it on. He held the helmet and place it on. It was a bit snug, but it will work for this last time. He switched his bow for his crossbow and slid the gem that increased his strength into Fluttershy's old collar. He watched as the harmony it held drained out of it and became the color of his armor. Then he headed out the door while having a portal open to hear whatever Chrysalis had to say.

"You won't succeed." She said getting angry at him "Just as I will never see my lovely changelings again because of you!" She tried to run through the portal only to be stopped by the chain on her leg.

Shadow said right before closing the portal, "If you told me the truth, then I would have thought about it and let you go discreetly, but since you lied, you'll stay there and think of what you caused." He opened a portal and stepped out. He looked at the hive and flew over to it. The changeling saw him and bolted, probably was one of the ones that attack his house.

The Changeling who ran off warned the entire hive This time they where ready because of the other pony who had attack a few minutes ago and small attack force of about 15 armored changeling moved to attack the dragon and defend the other changelings. They all attacked him from different directions knowing he couldn't defend all sides at once

Maple was conscious again but trapped by the changelings in one of their awful cocoons. She noticed that all the guards had run to go attack something. Shadow's here She thought Thank Celestia he figured out chrysalis's lie. She however could only wait for him to show up.

Shadow pulled the sword off his back and defend well. He blocked most of them, and the ones that he didn't block didn't make a dent in his armor. He picked up one of the changelings and threw it into the rest of them. making a path for him to get by. He thought about driving a sword into the throne, putting a crack in it and allowing some of the magic to work,

The changelings pressed their attack when they noticed he wasn't killing any of them and the ones who got knocked over quickly recover and joined the main attack force. They all knew he was going to attack the throne room so they all believed he was after the temporary King they couldn't afford to change leader again.

Shadow stopped and grabbed one of the changelings that were about to try stabbing him in the wings. He threw it into the wall and held it there and digging his claws into the wall. He said loud enough for the other to hear, "I'm not going to kill any of you, unless you keep pushing me. Chrysalis is my prisoner, and if you want to live, don't answer to her to try anything in Equestria." He added to the changeling that he was holding, "Where are the prisoners?" When the changeling point, Shadow dropped the changeling, who just sat there staring at him. He placed the sword on his back and headed towards the cells
