A bat's shadow RP (1x1 Rp w/ Maple Bat)

Discord knew Shadow was hesitant by the way he moved hes leg "Hey it's alright Fluttershy's really good at helping animals and claws are on a few animal."

Fluttershy after a few minutes came back into the room holding a odd looking tool. "This was made in order to help put animals claws back on temporarily so they could use it while they grow new ones... I'm not sure if it'll work on your metal foot though... You don't have to try it if you don't want to..."

Shadow sighed and said, "I just don't know if it would hurt, but I'm willing to try it." He took a few deep breaths to calm himself down, thinking to himself that it won't be a painful as getting the legs and wings on

"ok..." Fluttershy said putting it in place and positioning the claw "it may sting a bit but it shouldn't hurt to badly..." After getting it lined up she started messing with a few things on it there was a loud click noise of the claw being pushed back into where the groove was. "did it work?" She asked

Shadow jumped when it was put into his leg, but didn't hurt a much as getting it pulled out by his force. He took a deep breath and slowly moved the claw back and forth to see that it was moving finely. He smiled and said, "Thank you."

"I've never used this on a claw that won't grow back however..." Fluttershy said weakly " j... just come back if it falls out again."

Maple had stepped outside again to keep practicing but had worn herself out again and was laying on the ground resting.

Shadow nodded and said as he stood up, "I will. Let's hope if and when I visit, it won't be for that." He stepped outside to see Maple on the ground, he headed over to her and said as he looked down at her, "So, about me training you how to make shadows bend to your will, think that's a possibility for you?"

Maple woke up from her nap on the ground when she heard shadow approach "Probably seeing as I can just do whatever in the Chaos terrain." She said standing up "But in order to do it I'd need to learn the basic traits of it from you. So you up for it?"

Shadow thought about it and said, "Okay, the basic of it is bending the shadow to your imagination and solidifying it. try making a step. I would suggest a chair, but that will hurt if it's not solid."

Maple looked at her shadow a bit confused "O...k?" She imagined a small step being where her shadow was and nothing happened. After a few second Maple stopped "Are you sure that's all there is to it? Cause it's not working."

Shadow thought about it and said as he thought about the first time, "Well, first time using my magic, I kinda wished for something to happen and it did, then as I got better. I controlled it with my will and imagination."

Maple looked once again at the Shadow "I guess I wasn't using enough will then." She tried it again willing a small bump forth with her shadow. After another few seconds the orb on her necklace turned black and the bump appeared. "Well would you look at that!" She tried stepping on it and fell through it stumbling a bit "Guess it's not solid."

Shadow smiled and said as he made a different chair than the one he makes, "Your doing good, and now you see why I said to start with a small step. I work with making a chair, and once I got it, I had to mold the chair into something to help me."

Maple nodded and focused on creating a solid step. She summoned a few that weren't solid eventually she managed one where she could easily step on it. "Well this is a step in the right direction." She said laughing at her terrible joke. She also noticed that the orb had turned black "Umm... Shadow the orb changed color again."

Shadow rolled his eyes but smiled. He looked at it and said, "I guess it depends on the type of magic that's poured into it. Now, try a chair, or you could try to pull our shadow off the ground since you got that down faster than I."

"I think I'll try the chair first... also don't feel bad you learned it on your own I have you teaching me plus this orb helping me out so it makes it a lot easier." She tried to morph the shadow into a chair and it started to look like an odd tree sort of thing she shifted it a bit creating a sideways log on the ground testing to see if it's solid before sitting down on it.

Shadow nodded and said, "Okay, since you got the basic, the next would have been portals, but you got that taken care off. Next will be making a clone of yourself." He made a clone of him and added, "The same will apply and might be a little easier than the other one you did."

"Portals with shadow magic might be easier since you open and entrance and exit but the way my portals work I open 4 portals." Maple said shrugging "But sure lets try the cloning thing first. So I just imagine a shadowy version of my self standing next to me?"

Shadow nodded and said as he showed where his shadow supposed to be, "The clone should take up the whole shadow or it won't be convincing in the dark. It's better to imagine your shadow rising from the ground and becoming its own form."

She thought about that idea for a bit "Ok. Shouldn't be too hard since I can summon a giant stone version of myself" she laughed then began to focus on a shadowy version of her foucsing making sure that this worked. She dropped it a few times but eventually She managed to get it right. "That's... That's it." She had worn herself out again since using magic with out a horn was very taxing on her reserves "Let's call it a day..."

Shadow nodded and covered the whole area in shadow to make it all collapse. He said as he placed his claw on her shoulder, "Your catching on pretty quick, a few more and you'll be able to be equal with me in my magic."

"Thanks." She said relaxing a bit. "I don't mean to over Shadow you. After all with out your help I'd still be in the dark on this type of magic." She was laughing way to much at her own terrible jokes even though she knew shadow hated them.

Shadow sighed as he shook his head, the jokes were a bit annoying, but he found them a little funny and was getting used to them. He said as he laid down on the grass and looked up at the sky, "That's if I don't learn new ways to use my magic." He was mentally and physically exhausted from the whole ordeal with the artifact. One thing wouldn't get out of his mind, he and Maple almost match speed, but what about combat?

Maple stretched a bit "I need some nutrition, I'm gonna go get a bite to eat." She turned to walk back into the cottage "Feel free to join me if you want. You look a bit... drained so to say." She walked in to the cottage after looking back to see if he got up.

Shadow propped himself up and said, "I'm just completely drained from what happened with the artifact. I need to rest for a bit, and probably head to some places." He decided that he'll head 'home' after he gets some strength back.

Maple walked back out of the cottage with two apples and two mugs of cider. She set one of each down next to Shadow "There ya go just in case you want it. Do you think going a few places would tax your energy reserves?" She drank a good helping of her cider.
