Mpale heard him walk in "Welcome back." She said "How'd the meeting go?" She realized he probably didn't hear her but didn't care anyways. She also noted the dragon fang he put on the table. "Not well I suppose. Oh all the recruits all passed. Good job."

Shadow washed the blood off and used the toilet. He walked down the stairs and said as he leaned against the wall while keeping his balance with one eye, "The meeting could have gone a little better, but they were just bark and no bite." He grabbed a towel and started drying himself off.

Maple thought about the meaning behind that and shrugged "Well it can't always go perfect." She laughed "Anyways bet you gave them a run for their bits." She walked over to he bag where she got an apple out of it and "Drank" it.

Shadow said as he picked up the tooth, "Well, I probably gave the dragon a run for his bits. With the business ponies, I cracked the table and they fell into place." He got a small chain, poked a hole through the tooth and placed the chain through it.

Maple was getting kinda bored again. For once though she was completely ok with that she felt at ease with the world there was nothing to change nothing she had to change. "So what are you gonna do from here?"

Shadow placed the necklace with the dragon's tooth around his neck and said with a shrug, "I don't know, I guess ease back into my work schedule until the guards need me." He cleaned the blood off his lip and sat down.

"Guess that's what I'll be doing well except the work schedule the guard is that for me." Maple said relaxing against the wall "But ya know that's quite boring though. Guess it's better than almost dying."

Shadow nodded and looked at the ceiling. He thought about what his schedule is. He placed off the killings to the last minute. Now he had to kill a few today before midnight. He sighed and pulled out a drink

Maple heard him sigh "Guess that means you've got a full day ahead of you." She laughed "I've really got nothing to do I mean I could go to ponyville and go do things there or I could just get some more rest until Luna needs me again." She thought about her options before deciding on the second one since she was woken up earlier than normal,

Shadow nodded and said, "I was putting off some jobs, but I have to do it and I might get attention drawn to me for it. He walked up to the armory and grabbed a thin clothing with a dark mask, he reached into the box and pulled out a curved dagger, then he headed down the stairs and towards the door

"See ya later." Maple said as Shadow walked out the door She decided to head to her bed room when she saw another letter addressed to her by 'Tia "Odd she never sends me stuff." She opened the letter and it was a small gift from her... To shadow. Go figure.

Shadow closed the door and decided to start with his work. He opened a portal and tracked down the first one, then he opened a portal in it's shadow and stabbed it. He did that with thew others till he was done, then he jumped into the void to wait it out

After Maple had woken back up she went to drink an apple then headed to town. To find something interesting to do, she went to the tavern that she had started to work at to see if she could meet any other ponies that need help or whatever.

Shadow climbed out of the void and headed home. He placed the bloody knife in the table and headed up the stairs to the armory and took off the bloody clothing. He headed to the bathroom and got in the shower.

Maple had been talking to someponies for a while before she though about her necklace which she left at Shadow's place "Excuse me I need to go get something." She said as she left. She needed to go put that sword for Shadow somewhere in his armory anyways.

Shadow got out of the shower and headed down the stairs as he dried off his scales. He grabbed a piece of meat and placed it between his teeth. Now he had to wait for the payment from the food and the assassinations

Maple walked back into the house. "Oh hey you're back." She said "Did ya get it all done or still gotta do stuff. If you'd like to head down to that bar from the other day with me You could do that. If you're not busy that is. I'd hate to interrupt."

Shadow swallowed the meat and said, "sure, I'll come. I'm done with my work." He pulled the knife out of the wooden table and placed it in the sink. He grabbed his hat and walked outside. He thought about what would happen if he retired from this type of work, after paying for it in prison.

She stepped into her room to get her necklace and saw the sword. "Oh yea Shadow, 'Tia sent you a gift." She picked it up after getting her necklace and brought it over to him. "It's one of her personal swords. You must have left a good impression on her."

Shadow was surprised, but didn't show it. He took the sword and looked at it, then he opened a portal and grabbed a scabbard for the sword. He said as he was placing it on himself, "guess I should show my thanks for a wonderful sword."

Even though She was jealous, Maple smiled "I'll go let her know you like it. give me minute to write a letter then we'll go back to that bar." She walked into the guest room again wrote the Thank you letter, to tia for him sending it with her bottled dragon's fire as she always has. After that she was ready to go.

Shadow opened a portal and stepped through. He ended up next to the door, and opened it to see and hear the sounds of a familiar place. He sat down and started talking to ponies while collecting his payments

Maple, After walking through the portal, Walked over to the group that she was talking with earlier. She talked with them for a few more minutes before one of them saw her bat wings and freaked out, He'd never seen a bat pony before he was loving it. He's freaking out... in a good way? She thought.

Shadow sat down and relaxed as he looked around the room, but mostly at Maple. Then he felt a hoof on his shoulder, he looked behind him to see a stallion in a cloak. The stallion motioned to the backroom and Shadow followed back there.

After the pony had settled down he was asking Maple tons of questions. She got really bothered by a few of them and refused to answer them. The pony asked those questions a few times before deciding to give up on them. One question that caught her attention was "Why?" Why she was a bat pony. "I'm sorry but that really isn't something I wish to talk about." She answered. A crowd had gathered around her at this point. One pony looked a Maple "Why not? It can't be that bad.". Maple shook her head If I say something here who knows where the info will go.
