So I went ice skating today and got an unexpected surprise

after watching an ice skating anime (Yuri!!! On Ice)  which I thoroughly enjoyed, I really wanted to try ice skating.

Lo and behold, when I get there, I overhear people who are fellow fans saying that they have watched the same anime, and even mention the protagonist by name! I barely spoke to them, because I'm not a social person, but I did sort of let them know that I was also a fan. It was nice knowing that I was in a rink with people who were probably inspired to skate from the same anime that I fell in love with.
