Cannot write after spoilers

To be more specific, if I use spoilers, then contain it, then it just captures everything after that in the post, not just whats within the um code like it should be doing. for instance

1 2 3 soon spoiler free

now its past the '[/spoiler]' and its still in spoilers, or it was for a different post of mine just recently.

Hm maybe nevermind, idk why its effecting the other one. Hm.

All things that interact with the world exert a force. All things that exert a force have an opposite and equal force. Ergo, nothing immaterial exists [because where would the opposite force be without material as a medium?]. Ergo god doesn't exist immaterially. Also if the universe were infinite itd take infinite time for a god to make it. If it were finite it'd be subject to entropy. Which means an eternal god can't exist.

Ok what happened was I went back to edit the topic n add more, and then the spoiler subsection was taking up the whole bottom and wouldn't let me um type there til I dragged it upward.

I know that issue very well. I was whining :please: about this short after the upgrade to v4.

5) Using Magic To Get Out of The Spoiler

Do you like challenges? There is one for you!

What will happen if your spoiler box will be at the end of the post and you'll want to continue typing below it?
You can't get out of it. A relaxing exercise for you! ;)

Or what if there will be two spoilers next to each other with no space between them? The same thing!

A solution is to write something above the spoiler, then drag&drop the spoiler up, to make the text appear below it. Congratulations! You can continue typing.

It's worth noting, that adding spoilers automatically adds a next line to your post to avoid getting stuck like this, how convenient! :3 However, it still may happen when moving the spoilers around ~ for example to the very end of the post or when adding spoilers next to the previous one.
Also another thing worth noting is that, you can double enter to exit the quote, which doesn't work in spoilers.

You also mentioned spoilers going wild and 'eating' everything. Yup, there is such a bug indeed. A bug, that destroys the whole post, by moving its contents all over the place. It literally generated me hours and hours of redoing things, so I know what you mean. :P

That bug is caused by manually putting the spoiler tags. If the post is relatively long and/or it contains special boxes such as spoilers/quotes etc., there is a chance, that the whole post will end up being completely messed up after posting. :rarity:
To be honest I didn't try that on MLP Forums yet, but from my past experience with IPB4, I don't even dare to check this out. :derp: Though now when you mention this, then I guess the same rule applies here.

The solution is to not type spoiler tags manually, but use the button in the editor (the one with the eye, before emoticons) instead, to create that 'box' directly in the WYSIWYG editor to avoid initializing it during posting.

That's how poorly programmed that system was, it's not MLPF's fault. :rarity:

Enjoy CKEditor!

Or be like most and don't. But yeah, it's an issue with the default plug-in which is well out of MLPF's hands unless it gets updated with the new IPB version.

Riki broke it down better than most.
