It looks like the flank portion, Pretty wicket color combo for your cutie mark as well as tail!

I wasn't quite sure what I was looknig at until you said it was sideways, now I understand it fully lol It's good. Maybe if you made lineart first? It'll make the colouring a little neater. Here's one of my pictures, almost everything part of this picture is linearted: http://mlpforums.com/topic/16014-sleepin-on-the-clouds/ Although the linearts slightly messy, it still looks good^^

You should probably invest in a better ipad painting app... like brushes.... or autodesk's painting app.. You might also want to consider spending more then 30 minutes on it : Good enthusiasm though, keep it up.

 

Also, you might want to watch some tutorial videos on digital painting:

and there are a lot on the idrawgirls.com website. (it's more then just girl drawings)
