Net Neutrality and the pony community

something I really haven't heard being talked much about here is the Net Neutrality crisis and the negative effects it could have on the pony community (I'm not saying fandom, because it also effects the pony communities of past generations as well, and we are all one of the same franchise). Its really scary to see that this bill has potential of getting passed and isn't the first time that it has tried to be passed- which makes me think that its only a matter of time. But what- if anything- do you guys think will happen to the MLP community- not just here, but as a whole- if we lost net neutrality due to big phone and cable companies?

Don't worry. If Trump tries to do something it fails. I don't think the fandom will be in danger if it is shut down.

Yeah to be honest millions of lives will be ruined by the removal of net neutrality laws. It's just Trump is highly against Obama's work and policy's so he's trying to get rid of them one by one no matter if they are really good right not. Plus even Trump is going to the extent of employing new and worse department ministers and exploiting himself on the internet so everyone in the Whitehouse votes for the policy changes to be made. But still I'm not necessarily effected by this as I live in Australia and there's been laws here that are very similar to internet neutrality ever since the internet was first introduced here in the late 90s!

so you don't think there will be any change in the fandom and their creative works, social media, etc. if it gets passed in the US?

Yeah if internet neutrality gets taken down in the USA it would probably not effect the fandom all that much. It's just people will have to pay something like 5$ extra a month in their internet bill to have access to big social media websites. It's just a number of really good brony artists from the USA might be forced to quit their work online because of them being not able to afford the new internet bills.
