gaming Half life 3/Half Life 2 episode 3 story script released?

I found this somewhere, I am not sure if it is legit, but it does look very promising, some claim this is what story writer of half life 2 had released some time ago.

Of course, this has nothing to do with whether or not half life 3 is going to release, I think this could be what the script was that was going to be intended for a sequel/episode 3.

I have to say myself, I found this story pretty interesting, it does feel a bit like what you would expect from a half life plot, though I still am wondering whether or not the writer of half life was the one who released this or this is a fan made story, what do you guys think?

I actually can imagine that it's real. Half-Life 3 has been in the air for almost a decade and we haven't seen anything. Valve recently released a trailer for their new DOTA card game, which many hoped was Half-Life 3.

But the biggest indicator for me, is steam. Gabe and his valve guys make billions of it every year, so why working for a game and spend money, if the money just comes in like a printing machine?

In short, i buried my hopes for HL3

I have a few theories about this.

The first one being that most of the developers who worked on the half life games no longer work at Valve or Gabe wants to them to work on other projects.

My second theory is that they are afraid that the fans will be greatly disappointed when it doesn't end up like they expected to be should it ever come out.

Also an interesting thing to point is that this story i found actually came from the update page of half life 2 game itself. (in the steam game page in the game library)
