You just have to post in places that aren't The Welcoming Plaza or the Forum Games section. More posts mean you get a higher rank. I'm not sure myself how many posts you need for each rank. First comes muffin at 5 posts, then cupcake at 40, then parasprite on 100, then butterfly on 200 and on. It is just how I remember it now, so there could be faults in it.
