new Canterlot merch at Target

I don't see a post on this but I was just in Target & they had a whole batch of new toys with a 'Canterlot' tag. Figures large and small, and a child's dress with Twi's cutie mark...a box pair of Calestia and Luna...a Pinkie Pie whose Element necklace lights up, and a Fluttershy whose wings do (those were on sale too, 5.99 marked down from 8.50) and several other items. Very cool.

Dunno how many of these things are new though. The dress I've seen for over a month now and the Celestia/Luna box set (unless they've changed it to be show-accurate) has been around for a while.

 

Although perhaps I could go to Target and see if there's anything new at mine. :3 I look forward to new pony toys, even if I can't buy them all. I mostly look for the $5 brushables anyways.

These have been out for some time. In fact, the last time I went to Target I bought a Fashion Style Luna & Celestia. The light up ponies are called "Shine Bright" ponies and are the only ones with movable legs.

 

I don't think there will be anything new until the Crystal Empire series comes out later this year. Here's one of the toys to keep an eye out for.

Perhaps they were only new to OP because OP had never seen Target Canterlot toys before?

 

I got my brushable pink Celestia (who I painted white) and the CMC from the Canterlot series.

I'm srsly noob, only been into pony a month or 2. But Ive looked at Target a couple of times before, and been singularly unimpressed with their selection of MLP things. This was the first time I'd seen these.

 

I did my shopping, left the store, and then went back and bought the Shine Bright Pinkie Pie. lol. Although by the time I got her out of the package and brushed her mane she looked more like Pinkamina with her hair all straight.

The stuff available at Target used to be pretty cool, but since the cool stuff got bought by everyone, now Toys R Us seems to be the place for pony merchandise. Target still has a couple cool things left from the Canterlot series but for the most part it hasn't been worth the trip. At least, not until they finally come out with some new stuff.

 

And yeah, you need to style the ponies' manes in order for them to look anything like their show-counterparts. You can just curl Pinkie Pie's mane with cut-up straws, bobby pins, and some water and let it dry overnight. :3

I guess some of the stores get their toys put out kinda late. I went to Target today to get my brother his birthday present, I looked in the pony isle out of curiosity, and I saw the Canterlot shine brights there for the first time. I got the ones I have off of ebay, because I thought my Target wouldn't get those in stock.
