Does EQG follow comic book time?

With the EQG timeline, does it seem like it follows a coherent one or is it like a fluid/loose comic book time?

That's how I always thought about FiM timeline, but EqG timeline actualy feels pretty coherent. Technically you can squeeze all events of 7 seasons of show and one movie into 2-3 years to justify the fact that nopony ages (except that one dog) but than there is weird thing with seasons (winter being especialy random). So yeah, mild case of comic book time for main show and a bit of loose continuity with movie. For EqG though about a year passed: EqG1 - fall, EqG2,3 - same school year, EqG4, summertime shorts - summer, current shorts - second year of school. If I am not miising anything, no problems there.
