And then there's sensory deprivation tanks ...

That was what was behind the whole Bloody Mary myth way back when I was little. They would tell you to lock yourself in your bathroom with the light out staring at the mirror in the quiet dark for 20 minutes. Then if you looked in the mirror and said Bloody Mary's name three times she would come and get you. But sensory deprivation can make you hallucinate so some people did it and thought there was some truth to it. After you've sat in the dark silence for a while and you finally say something your brain is doing all sorts of adverse things.

It's pretty much just the startling nature of it, if I had to guess; nobody likes being shocked against their will.

My sweetie has actually tried one of those and she loved it.  Me, I'd be too afraid of the scenario you just described.  Way too many demons to be unleashed, to be honest.

Alright, everyone, I'm back! ^_^ Not that anyone even realized or cares that I was gone or anything, though.

So how's everybody here doing? Seems like you're all talking about auditory things which I know nothing about, so I'll just be here.

Standing far far away and observing from a distance.

I'm doing quite alright so far! :fluttershy: There's not much more going on than meets the eye, truthfully speaking.

How about yourself~?

Good to hear your day is going fine, on the other hand, my day is... bleh.

It's the same as usual, just not feeling so great today. There's no real reason for why I'm not feeling so hot today, actually no, it's probably because I'm not studying for the exams I have in the next two consecutive days. :adorkable:

Work is over, and it WOULD be the start of my weekend but we have to sacrifice one of my days off because we have a mandatory sexual harassment training tomorrow.

In all seriousness, I totally get how procrastination feels; you want to do something, and it sucks to have it looming over you... but for some reason, you just can't do it... :please:

Either way, good luck with your studies; be sure to get them done on time! Hopefully you can feel better soon!

What field do you work in, if I may ask? I can only think of a few jobs which require that... :ooh: Then again, I live in the US, and am completely ignorant to the hiring process in other countries.

I can't go into specifics, but as I said I work for the Army, and thus it's mandatory for the entirety of everyone who works for the Army. There is a hardcore zero tolerance policy.

Oh, no worries; I won't ask for further details. I thought it had something to do with the Army; my older brother told stories about similar processes in the US Army, so that's why it was my first guess.

True, but it bothers me even when I see someone who's about to do that.

To give a short example: when my classmate says: "Shut up everybody!" and then starts trying to pop the balloon, I'm always there covering up my ears and hiding, because it bothers me so much I can't resist. Same thing goes with the bottle of champagne.

This kind of feeling you're currently going through before reaching the finish line is amazing! You do nothing but think that after you're done, you won't have to worry about anything school-related anymore!:yay:

And then eject the magazine, be sure to pull the slide a few times, then double check the barrel, then place the firearm with the slide puled back on the table, ejection port facing up, and facing down the range. This just for semi-automatic pistols; other firearms have different processes.

... Look, I know it may sound meandering, but firearm safety is no joke! :please:
