Does mlp have model trains

I know there are toy train in the show but do they have pony version of model train

Not the diesel sort, but yeah. Model trains came around during the 1860s apparently and the first electric models came aorund the turn of the century. Considering the technology available in Equestria, I'd say it's very well possible. Might not be very common. Those things can get expensive now, I don't know if that's just because of collector's value or inflation though, so I'm unaware as to their cost back then. Electricity exists in Equestria but places like Ponyville don't have a whole lot of it I think, so not many outlets or batteries to run them.

I'm not sure if Equestria has model trains, but if there are any model trains of the Friendship Express I could get my hooves on I would absolutely love to!

Yes. Hell they only have ONE locomotive and some company in Equestria has got to have the licensing rights to that to make some money off of its significance, right?
