Where are the other Alicorns?

It is stated in The Journal Of The Two Sisters that there used to be more Alicorns. There used to be many many more Alicorns that used to fly over Royal Canterlot.

But what happened to them?

LOL, this is the first time someone ask about alicorns but already knows about the journal . Anyway, my usual answer would be rather pointless in this case, as I know as much as you . Still, that book came a good while ago, about time to address our alicorn enigma ...... and bat poneh as well

There have to be other inhabitable worlds in their universe.

Probably hidden someplace else or maybe there has been a great war and all the alicorns sacrifice themselves to save the world. Which might explain the absentace of the two sister's parant.

But considering how many times the horse world males the human world go bonkers.... besides, there are the geodes, of equestrian origin, presumably there for God knows how long, so there may be other stuff from Equestria that may have ended up in the human world, like possibly the alicorns
