Before Somnus could tell the guy how stupid his statement was, the earth pony splashed a bucket of water on the cat.

Somnus looked at the guy, then at Ruby, then the guy again.

"Dude, you've just angered both a dragon and a cat. You're basically dead at this point."

Calti jumped off Ruby and started drying herself up while looking at the pony angrily between licks, meanwhile Ruby stared at the pony while her now wet mane was dripping water down her snout and to the ground, and as she blinked her eyes changed to those of an reptile "I don't own anybody, she's my friend." she then launched at the pony at very quick speed sinking her now sharp teeth into his front leg and not letting go regardless of what he did.

Somnus went and grabbed a towel then wrapped the towel around Calti to dry her. He then walked over to Ruby who was biting the guy carrying a bucket.

"I think the idiot had enough."

He was carrying the cat who was wrapped in the towel.

He was carrying the cat who was wrapped in the towel.

Calti was bit confused at first but quickly realized what Somnus was doing and relaxed her body. Ruby let go but not before twisting her head in a way that she left a wound that would take a while before it would heal, and would probably leave a scar forever. She then looked at the earth pony and spoke with a voice filled with deep despise "You're lucky I have self-control."

Ruby let Calti out of the towel and proceeded to try her mane with the same towel and made her way to inspect the door, after she was done drying up Calti climbed back on her head. "The lock is busted, we should probably inform someone." she then turned back towards Somnus "And to answer your question, stupid ponies is nothing new, the real question is why they are constantly bothering us from all creatures."

"I'm more curious about how he knew I had a cat, and how he knew where I was with said cat." Ruby mentioned "In fact, how did any of the ponies breaking in here end up in our room?" "Because even though you ponies can be weird creatures, I know for a fact that it isn't normal to just go in to someone else's room without warning to harass them."

"We'll just pretend we have no evidence of you biting him."

Ruby stated confidently, she pointed at the wounds "These marks are clearly made by someone with sharp carnivore teeth, yet..." she opened her mouth to show her normal flat pony teeth before closing it again to continue "...as you can see, I don't have such teeth."  "Sure he said..." she nodded towards Somnus "...that I did, but it's word against word." "But I also would like to mention that to add to the assault with water, which most likely is crime in some way, he also broke the lock of the door by kicking it open, so it counts ad breaking in entering, and I'm sure the owners of the ship would like him to pay the damages." her face stayed in neutral, a good thing about being technically a guard, was that she was well informed about the law and knew how evidence and such worked.

Ruby shrugged "No idea, but I can lock it with my magic for now." she then closed the door and muttered something in dragonic, before turning back towards Somnus "It's not as strong of a spell as the one I use on the treasury door, but it should stop it from opening to certain extend."

"We just kill those who insult us, but it's mostly because we only insult those we don't like, and we usually are trying to kill them anyways." Ruby commented "So you can probably imagine it has been rather challenging to live among your kind without killing everyone several times over."
