"I don't know enough about the local kind to tell you if it's normal or not." Ruby replied "But for my kind it wouldn't be normal, so it would be either on purpose or due to some medical condition or something, i don't really know what could cause it, but I guess something could."

Somnus heard some laughing behind him. It was a random dragon. A wyvern to be specific.

"Wanna hear a joke?"

"Uh... sure?"

"You claiming to be a pony! HAHAHAHA! That's just priceless, Somnus!"

Somnus was visibly confused.

"What is that supposed to m-"

The dragon flew away before he could finish.

"Am I missing something? I did not understand his joke, since I am a pony. And how did he know my name?"

Ruby just blinked, she would have pointed out that dogs..or cats, don't have the concept of humor, and thus can't find something funny or not funny, but she decided against it, because she had no interest in starting that conversation.

Phillip ran over to Ruby, probably demanding to be picked up. Somnus wouldn't be able to confirm this since he had no way of understanding Phillip like he did Fluffball.

"He doesn't have any reason to, I haven't shown to be a threat" Ruby said, ignoring the dog, if it wanted on, it could just jump, Ruby was so low on the ground that even a dog should be able to get on her.

"Because they are entertainment" Ruby stated rather coldly, again she didn't pay attention to the dog, but Calti seemed bit displeased about the dog jumping on her bed that was Ruby "Are you really that stupid?" this was a genuine question, and didn't sound like it was meant as an insult.

A pony in this situation would have felt bad...but Ruby was no pony, sure there was somewhere in her a pain caused by Somnus's unhappiness, but it was overpowered by her other feelings, in this case meaning that she didn't feel remorse on what she had said "Stop crying about it and do something about it." she stated coldly "You have wasted millennium and a half, but you can't do anything about it now, you can only make sure you don't waste the next millennium and half." "You have made yourself immortal, so do something with that immortality." "Make it so that you're something else than just an immortal bat." this time the word bat came with disgust and it was clearly meant as an insult "Make yourself something I can feel pride for."

Somnus was already broken, there was no way he was thinking rationally. The way Ruby seemed to be putting him down even further didn't help much.

"I... I just can't."

He looked over at the edge of the summit as if he was going to do something irrational.

"You told me to do something about it, right? Not to waste the next millennium and a half? What if... I didn't have a next one to waste?"
