private A Cultural Exchange 1x1 with Drago Ryder

Maia shook her head as a light chuckle escaped her beak.”It’s not a problem at all, considering we’re already here.” She probably should have accounted for the trek to her home, but it was a bit too late for such a thing now. The structure itself was two stories in height, both bedrooms on the top floor while most of everything else was on the bottom. A study also doubled as a music stuido at the back of the house and provided a view of the forest behind the hill it rested on. The strangest thing that her guest might take note of was the fact that, while the house had a bit of gryphon inspired architecture, the building itself lookiped to be more suited towards an earth pony or unicorn. “It might not be much, but it serves its purpose.”

Siren looked impressed at what Maia would have no doubt described as a humble structure. She nodded, "Looks roomy, much bigger than my place." She looked around at the scenery, seeming to have noticed for the first time just how far they had come from the center of the city, "Then again there is much more space to work with here than in Troy, better said, more space that anyone actually wants to work with."

She started walking towards the side of the house, looking to get a better view of the forest that served as a backdrop to the house, "Much better view here, that's for sure."

  • 1 month later...

(Sorry about the delay. The last few weeks were a bit busy for me.)

Maia gave a light nod, understanding that it made sense for Siren to want to look around for a bit. She was also a bit surprised that the singer had a house smaller than her own, but she figured that such a thing could be ignored. “Thanks. I sort of got lucky with the selections I had, and this one sort of spoke to me. Either way.”

@Drago Ryder

(I guess finals? Likely a college student?)

Siren gave a contented nod at the view, "Ah-" she stopped suddenly and nervously cleared her throat, "ahem, Candid would really like this place, it's much like her home, but much less dangerous, it's pretty similar to Z-shoot uh, Windsong's home."

She seemed suddenly very tense, sitting very still as she stared directly at the woods for a bit before she shuddered. It seemed to relax her has she stood up with a chagrined expression, "Can we uh, go inside now? This stuff is getting a bit heavy."

  • 4 weeks later...

Maia tilted her head out of curiosity, though she didn’t really ask any particular details on who Siren might have been referring to. For now, she would just assume that it was a friend. “What do you mean by dangerous?” It would also be a good idea to get inside, considering the length of the walk they had endured, so the gryphon opened the door and stood to the side in order to let her guest in first.

(Yeah, pretty much.)

Siren looked thoughtful at Maia's question as she moved to enter her house, "Well, she lives... near... the Everfree Forest, they say it's the most dangerous forest in all of Equis, with the highest concentration of manticores, timberwolves, and all that." She shrugged, "Apparently she likes it that way, at least she's mentioned enjoying the terror most have as they flee the forest at full speed."

She nodded, "Yeah, she's interesting like that, but it helps give a real spooky tone to some of our songs."

She would them look about the interior of the house, not judgmentally, but with an appreciative view.
