heavens-champion 1,905 January 30, 2019 Share January 30, 2019 So... how come Chrysalis didn't want revenge on Cadance and Shining Armor for foiling her first invasion plan? In To Where And Back Again, she just treats them like normal hostages instead of her sworn enemies. I can understand her wanting revenge on Starlight, but why not Cadance and Shining Armor? CypherHoof 26,483 January 30, 2019 Share January 30, 2019 I would say that, in the case of canterlot wedding, She lost a battle, but in there and back again, she lost everything. 2 ᚾᛖᚹ ᛚᚢᚾᚨ ᚱᛖᛈᚢᛒᛚᛁᚴ - ᚦᛖ ᚠᚢᚾ ᚺᚨᚦ ᛒᛖᛖᚾ ᛞᛟᚢᛒᛚᛖᛞ
SharpWit 2,771 January 30, 2019 Share January 30, 2019 In chess you don't get mad at the pawns, you get mad at the opposing player. She'd love to see them destroyed I'm sure, but they're not her main priority.

Metemponychosis 1,262 January 30, 2019 Share January 30, 2019 I think that the writers have realized that the cartoon is best in character interaction. The best thing of the episode was the journey, and no the conclusion. It was just an excuse to put Starlight Glimmer, Thorax, Discord and Trixie in a group. Honestly, changelings don't make much sense to me since the first time they appeared and Chrysalis never struck me as a particularly... 'Character' character. https://www.fimfiction.net/user/32864/Metemponychosis For dumb, self-important fics about mythology, ponies and fascist griffons that can't figure friendship out. And I'm just getting started.

Well-said; I agree. The main thing she still has after it all is some of her own magic power, but it's just not the same. The loss of power over her hive, which was the thing that made her especially threatening the first time, is a big deal for Chrysallis.
