Feeling a bit better as a lot of heavy stuff came up the past day or so. I still have a lot to deal with.

Feeling upset with some rage because someone falsely assumed that the garbage can was empty last night.  The result was me having to rush to the garage and found bags still in the can.  Had to put on random shoes that wouldn't fit my feet and carry the still-full garbage can to the edge of the driveway for the trash people to pick up.

I'm still reeling from the excessive caffeine and late nights, though negative news stories don't help either, and to no surprise, I read about how doomscrolling can be a problem for people's mental health, leading to sleep deprivation, which I can see why that would be bad for our brain.

Being a part of this community is helping to counter this effect though, since I've seen mostly positivity here. Everything needs to be in balance, including dopamine. Sure, it is a good thing to get pleasure out of things we like doing whether it's playing video games or something else not harmful to somebody else, but getting enough sleep, exercise and a healthy diet is equally as important.

I was sad earlier because I was anxious about the upcoming English regents exam on next Tuesday morning. A couple hours ago, I was angry because I was walking to my art class and there was this girl yelling at everyone and she seemed very angry. I had to run to my art class so that I wouldn’t get attacked. Now I don’t know how I feel anymore…

Oh wow, sorry to hear about that. I actually had an issue where someone actually drove up beside our trash can and they attempted to throw some stuff away in them and drove off. I didn't mind as it was collection day and that they haven't passed by yet. They left and then the trash collector came by and picked up the trash, however, it turned out that the person completely missed the can and there was trash on the street/curb.

The infighting among fans is something I feel needs to be dealt with as well, if only there were such thing as magical rainbows that took away their tendency to be abusive so that they can learn to honor what MLP FIM is really about. This is one of the things that doesn't help my mood either, people getting name called. In some cases people from outside the fandom bully MLP fans as well, regardless of what opinions they may have about the franchise, it's the old "Adults cannot enjoy a show for little girls" thing, as usual.

Since joining the fandom, I noticed and realized that this is always going to be issue as there's always a very vocal minority of people in every fandom and outside of them. You cannot have a simple discussion with those people. I can say that for the majority of that fans that I have come across, that they actually understand the show's core message of friendship and understanding. They tend to be kind and compassionate people.

What I will always recommend is to stop engaging with those negative people and focus on the positive aspects of the community and series' values.

Unfortunately it seems it has always been this way in the fandom, before G5 fans were mocked, it was G3 and G1 fans who were harrassed and mocked, some bronies just couldn't fathom how others could like older gens and thought people were bad for liking something they didn't 

But, don't be discouraged, it's something happens in every fandom, the trick is to keep moving on, and if they argue, defend your stance on why you like what you do

I do agree with what Star Strike said though on his Youtube video. If they do this, it is best to resolve this peacefully. Showing that imagery of Starlight Glimmer offering a chance at peace to Chrysalis from the show was apt, fans who are engaging in negativity should do the same and try to calm that other person down instead of retaliating. If retaliation is the method, it never ends, as X other person with hurt feelings hurls abuse back again. And good point, as a G4 fan myself, I think anyone who likes any other generation are justified to do so, perhaps G1 fans may like giving cute toys to their children, or perhaps they like it because without G1, G4 never would have existed, doesn't matter. it's their choice, just as liking G4 is ours. No matter what others say, my loyalty to both fandom and G4 and its creators will remain strong.

Personally, I like G1 because of the toy variety, not that my mom could afford any with how expensive they are

I don't see anything wrong with liking other MLP generations besides g4. Those negative fans are annoying :/

Absolutely, there's a song from Michael Jackson about fighting, it's easier to act macho than to resolve conflict through understanding and mercy, but it doesn't make it right to escalate hatred.

I expressed concerns about the MLP fandom in my own thread. Of course nobody here was being talked about in this thread I made the other day, however I came across some critics who made fallacies as to why Alicorn Twilight and Tirek duel should never have happened. I mean since this part of the forum is about how we are feeling, well, if you read this, you'll see what added to negative feelings, after reading numerous comments from other people, I felt obliged to give my own opinion and counterpoints to consider.

I LOVED the Tirek duel, I don't remember much of the episode it was from as I was 11 when I saw that episode but I remembered the fight from seeing a PMV with the fight in it

Yes, I liked it as well, it showcased Twilight Sparkle's bravery and sense of duty to protect her kingdom. If they had stuck to the slice of life formula all the way through the series, I would rolleyes and lose interest, but to have Equestria depict conflict where sometimes physical confrontation does occur, adds a sense of realism to the story, in order to keep the peace and security, tyrants must never be allowed to seize power.

Agreed, G4 should not sugarcoat the harsh reality that sometimes villains don't change. If DBZ style fights became a common occurrence then yes I could see legitimate reasons to find it annoying, but they did not repeat it too often, timing and execution of a trope is everything, in my opinion, which is the point I made on the thread I made about that topic.
