Nearly missing a Forum Event

While I'm okay with most of the interface, the fact that the list of "recent topics that have been posted" have been removed meant I can't believe I nearly missed the forum event celebrating Derpy. if I wasn't tagged by a friend who left a message in that topic I would have completely missed it. Responding to it close to 5:00 in the morning I didn't get my full message out on the first post and had to do several edits just to make sure I'm giving everyone the credit I'd wanted to give.

All in All I kind of wish that the Forums Events that only going to stay for a short while would be given front page attention so I don't miss out on them like I nearly did with the Derpy event just now

As far as I can tell both new and recent posts are available on both mobile and computer platforms. On computer it's much more easily accessible, being in the right bar, but on mobile both are at the way bottom of the page, not making them the most navigable portions of the site. Also on the computer platform is an Events section that is highlighted at the top of the page, which seems to be missing from mobile. Having a highlighted events section at the top of the page for mobile may help, and has now been added. Additionally, events are generally posted well in advance, and marked on the site calendar. I reorganized the side bar a bit so that new posts and replies to posts are first, followed by blogs, birthdays, and status updates, as having replies to posts last seemed a little out of place as a forum. Hopefully that helps.

I'm confused, both Events and recently posted in are showing up for me on the forums main page on the top just fine. That's how I found it when it was just 9 Minutes old. So no idea why your interface would look completly different then mine.

That's because when I posted this question yesterday as in over 24 hours ago it wasn't there. It was changed between 24 and 6 hours ago
