I have taken many a listen to various metalcore bands, and thought they were okay at best. But eventually I realised how repetitive and boring their songs are. Why's it funny that most people you know that like metalcore are female? What sex you are has nothing to do with what music you like. Hey hey hey. Wait a minute. I'm a teenage male (just barely; 13), and I am a huge fan of metal. But I tend to lead towards more technical metal, like thrash, math (DEP, Meshuggah, Animals as Leaders...), death, and some nu metal. I tend to think of the various "Cores" as stupid fads or scenes, like the bands that label themselves as djent. Just my opinion. Nu metal done right is amazingly awesome, but it is easy to mess up and make something awful. 1 Brushing your hair is for people who care and someone who cares is not I, I'll jump off a bridge and then fill up your fridge,and best pony is Fluttershy. I mean, maybe that was the case earlier on, especially in the mid 00's, but these days, it seems to me people are more into deathcore and easycore bands. That and dubstep, which I can't really argue with. Had to post a counter argument song. awesome song removed due to media posting limits This, to me, is what metalcore is supposed to sound like. The off-chords, the constantly changing drum patterns, the wonderful mix of speaking and yelling... gah. One of my favorite bands, please excuse my fangasm. Well, that's some good stuff right there This is probably my favorite song from SikTh. It's along the same lines.
