Can someone help me out with something? I need the original, unblended version of a translucent color in a My Little Pony comic.

There's this comic I once read. I didn't really like it or understand it, but the artwork was just AMAZING! I especially what they did to Luna and Nightmare Moon's hair. However, I need help figuring out something. The part of Luna's hair right next to the outline and the main part of her hair is translucent. I want the original, unblended version of that color, but I can't figure out how to get it. Can anyone get it for me and tell me how to get the original, unblended versions of translucent colors in he future?

Unfortunately, there are no standalone images of Luna in this style, so all I can give you is a bunch of panels with Luna in them. It's not ideal, but it's all there is.

Well a translucent color is always going to be different depending on the color that's behind it. Are you saying you want her hair color that's used without a background? And you intend to use that to put on top of other backgrounds? If so, I don't think there's one exact answer. The artist most likely used some sorts of blue and fiddled around with different levels of transparency (or alpha)

Do you want, like, the original hex number of the color, along with whatever transparency value is used? The best idea I can think of is to just guess and check. Maybe take the pink from that cloud in the bottom of page 69 and play with a translucent blue until you find a close enough match, I think.

Or maybe there's a mathematic way to figure it out, but I don't know of any.

EDIT: I tried to throw an example together real quick. The small square in the center is what you would be trying to match.  I took color 0093FE and put it against both white and that pink color, and I used four different levels of transparency (out of 255): 200, 150, 100, and 50. So either the transparency is less than that, or the base color is less than that. Aside from any calculation program of some sort which I don't know exists, experimenting might be the best way.

And BTW, Luna's translucent mane portion probably isn't even one single color, if you were looking for one single color.

Yes, I want the hair color that's used without a background and, yes, I do want the original hex number of the color. And, yes, I am looking for one single color, so the average color I guess.

I'm trying to edit her Desktop Ponies sprite so she has the hair from that comic. I then plan to use it in this game I'm making. However, it's a ROM hack of an existing game and the game system it's on doesn't support translucency in the context that I want to use the sprite in, so that's why I want the original unblended color.

I was hoping for a mathematic way of figuring it out. I tried something and it spit out nonsense.
