Trying to find a decent job. I'm trying to go into the biomedical lab career and basically work at a hospital/clinic lab, and I swear nobody can make up their mind with what they're requiring! Some want a bachelor's degree with some amount of lab hours (which I fit the bill for), some want this certification and that certification which aren't even offered in my state, some even want a BOATLOAD of prior experience and rotation hours on-par with a nursing license or doctorate despite medlab being a much different beast with different hours.

People here want big shiny head-of-experiment Ph.Ds over centrifuge runners first-and-foremost, and then have the gall to wonder why labs need to be outsourced now bc there aren't enough ppl on staff to actually do the mundane grunt work
