It honestly is so rare nowadays for anyone to hate nerd stuff. But he does, because he lives in the real world. And grows to just throw this stuff away because it messes with your head. I just... friggin love this guy!

He even argues its better to get Playboy magazines because you have to get it and is more rewarding.

I agree! He is such a fun and awesome character. He’s perpetually stuck in the ‘80s because that’s what he grew up with, and he has no interest in the inadequacy of the lame modern world. He doesn’t try to be a sparkling example to anyone, which can be very refreshing, especially when everyone writes a lengthy speech into every movie and show about the moral of the story. With this guy, the moral of the story is, “Screw it, gimme a Coors Banquet.” He’s fun for the sake of fun, and he makes no apologies. Awesome.

He is written as have being frozen in time since the 80s movie, which is very unrealistic (since I was there back then), but extremely funny. That means he is funny because of the movie, so it is important you watch all the movies to understand Cobra Kai.

The further into Cobra Kai you get, the more unrealistic they seem to take him, which make me think it is the actor’s choice rather than the writers. He is chosen to be the main antagonist, but the show keeps shifting who it really is.
