Best/worst phone calls you ever had?

Definitely my sister passing away. I was very young so I couldn't really comprehend what my father was telling me on the phone. I was at my grandparents house. They were watching me while my parents were with my sister in the hospital.

I don't really think anything can top the phone call about a loved one's passing. Aside from that, I think the only thing that comes close was my brother telling me my dad was let go from his job he spent at least 15 years at. At the time I was living with my cousin for about 4 months but I basically had to drop everything to move back and help out while he was able to get another job(which thankfully he did)

Probably my parents calling me to say their house was burning down. They weren't in it fortunately, or they wouldnt have made it out. But still, our family home burning down was one hell of a shock.

The worst typically involve a death in the family, and I have had those. Another bad one involved the arrest of an in-law.

A happy one involved a friend of mine calling to accept my invitation to live with me and my family. The circumstances for this person were not good but I was happy she decided to get out of her bad situation.

I guess phone calls tend to have more of a negative connotation than a positive one, directly or peripherally, at least for me. That's one of countless reasons I hate it when the phone rings.

I'm glad for the happy ones you got, Dreamy. :rarity:

And I'm so sorry for the sad ones. :sunny:
