(In this game, you can do anything as long as it is relevant to the quest. That means, if you want to fight a Dragon on the way to find the Kirin, you can. But if you want to build a spaceship to explore the moon, then that's a no. Sorry.

The basic rule is: Everything must happen for a reason.

Can you provide an example of how to play this game? Should I leave a challenge for the next player? Are we suppose to reach the destination in our first reply?

We're going to take the train with the rest of the group as far as we can, and then just go on hoof. I'm taking marshmallows in case we encounter a nirik.

We cant consider this a casual roleplay that in a sense we do not follow those rules. And anyone jumps in and joins. And i believe its easier here.

And there is a reward and sometimes this game finishes quickly.

It is considered a game since once the requirements are met the game ends. Unlike a roleplay. A much more deeper and agreement is needed.

(We can have roleplays where people can just jump in and join. And roleplays can end when the requirements are met. I would argue that Forum Games are the ones that shouldn't end. This game and the rewards were created for a specific group, that not everyone is a part of, and there is a previous part of the story that not everyone knows about. And above all of that, we're literally roleplaying.)

I'm waiting to see what @Lawyer Slip has to say first. If they can provide an example of how to play this game, and it fits the usual format of a forum game, then I see no reason to move it. On the other hand, if it relies too much on roleplaying, then it will be moved to the proper location.

@Lawyer Slip can explain further if he wishes, but basically, it's an RP to find missing Kirin with the reward being points towards levelling up in the Derp Legion group. It will be entirely RP I'm afraid.))

Titanium decided she needed some time off after the last adventure just 3 days prior, still rather shaken up over the fiasco, she boards a train to try and get away and clear her head... Upon boarding the train, she see's a familiar face "@Nitobit ? Is that you? I hadn't seen you since that forested fumble. where are you headed to?" She takes a seat, waiting for the train to depart.

(By the way, if the official map is anything to go by, we'll need a boat to get there as it's on an island)

Moonlight smiles with excitement as he sees his friend. "Titanium! Sweet Celestia, it's good to see you again! I'm going to the Peaks of Peril to find out what happened to kirin." Shows her a note with the quest details. "What about you? Where are you going? You looked miserable last time I saw you. I should've checked up on you earlier."

(It's on an island?  I thought in the episode they only used a train.)

Titanium shuffles in her seat "Ah... Another adventure? And this train just happens to be the one where everyone is meeting?..." She skims through the note "From missing goblins to missing Kirin" She sighs, passing back the note. "... Well I don't think I can get a refund on my ticket, so I guess I'm tagging along, at least for the train journey. Do you have a plan on how you're going to get there?" She opens her small bag containing art supplies, a sketchbook, and a map. "I didn't bring my bat with me this time, but I do have a map."

(I guess the map was either made after the episode, or the writers didn't think about it, I'll leave it up to @Lawyer Slip to decide on whether it's accessible by land or by boat.)

"I wanted to go all the way to the Peaks by train, but then I saw another map that showed them on an island. No idea which one was correct, so I'll just think about it on the last station."

Moonlight looks at her bag as she opens it. "Ooh, am I finally going to see how you paint with your hair? I mean, only if you decide to join us. I've heard Peaks of Peril have some amazing landscapes. And you don't really need your bat. I can be your bat. Um, I mean, I can protect you if something tries to attacks us!"

It's like a roleplay, but also not like a roleplay. It's not officially classified as a roleplay, and is a game with minimal rules. That being said, we do roleplay during it, except for me, the gamemaster/temporary god. It relies a decent amount on roleplay, but it also relies on the people talking to me in the background. I'm not to sure, this is my first time doing this.

I mean, you can access it by boat, but it's hard to take a boat up a mountain that has a 90 degree angle climb. But trains are trains, so it can get there easier.

Also, the map I'm doing this off of has the Kirin as part of Equestria. So train time.

Honestly though, @Samurai Equine you do you. I think it should stay here, since this section (forum games) is where the last one was. 

But if you think it should be put in roleplay, go ahead.

Actually, now that I think about, the reason this felt so much like a game, is because this is just DND without the board, the dice, pieces, or 80% of the rules.

But it technically has players, characters, enemies, a main location, a trail, and a Dungeon Master.

So, yeah, I would say this is a much simpler version of dungeons and dragons, and therefore, not a roleplay.

You haven't done DND like I have. The game stops WAAAAAAAAY too much whenever I show up for some reason, and I feel like these quests will do that occasionally as well.

I have a map that includes the lands south and east of Equestria. There is a place called Kirin Grove located south of Dragons Lair, near Lost Lagoon, and I want to ask the Kirin's about it. With the permission of Princess Celestia I have converted one of the Storm King's airships into a vessel of exploration named the Equus. I prepare to fly the Equus to Perilous Peaks and the Kirin village.

No, but I can fly the party there if asked. I am Captain Phantom H. Fetlock, a Unicorn (he/him). Grey coat, brown mane and tail with highlights. Skull & crossbones cutie mark. I wear a black cloak with red lining. My cutie mark talent is swashbuckling.  Oh, and I could use a few more crew members!

It would seem as though the travelers on the train are not the only ones trying to complete the quest! 

Hmmmmmmmmmmmm, perhaps the stakes must be increased.

Your reward for the completion of this quest is now 10 derp points and a steak.

Titanium chuckles "I'm not going to make a mess of the train, although I wouldn't be against painting the Kirin homeland... If they let me, of course." She wonders what the Kirin homeland looked like, maps only ever give a basic understanding of the scenery, nothing but height markers and roads, they rarely show the cultural history and designs of the homes. She pauses a moment to imagine, before realising that wasn't the end of the conversation. "Oh, sorry, lost in thought there... My bat? Oh, you know I don't think I can pick you up and swing you like a bat" She laughs, sincerely and innocently at the idea of using a bat pony as a baseball bat.

After stifling her chortles, Titanium pulls out her map and opens it "According to this map, we can access the Kirin homeland by train, or at least most of the way... I would be a very long journey though" She looks out of the window, noting the suns position "We won't get there until nightfall... And scaling a mountain at night is not a good idea..." She closes the map and walks to the door. "Didn't somepony arrive in town by airship the other day? If we can find them, we may be able to get a safer and more direct passage to the peaks."

"Haha! Yeah, probably not, I'm not a swinging type of bat." Moonlight laughs at the mental image. He looks at Titanium's map and listens as she talks about their plan. "You're right. I also saw the airship. We can go look for it, but we should wait for the rest of the group before departing." He stands up and goes after Titanium.

I can make a stop at the train station nearest the Kirin village and meet the travelers getting off there. Maybe they would like a ride to the peaks? Perhaps they might even want to explore Kirin Grove? I could use a team of explorers!
