I don’t know some people that the MLP G5 comics are fully canon for some reason when this is how Opaline is introduced. Keep in mind this comic came out before Make Your Mark officially started as a series

Did not quite understand, are you saying that Opaline being introduced in the comics makes them canon? I mean, I'm not saying they aren't, but Opaline...eh, they likely already had the plans for her character back in 2021, there was a cameo of her cutie mark in the movie. In Make Your Mark what we saw was basically her introduction from this Generation's perspective, while for this comic it was from G4's perspective, which could be canon to animated G5's continuity. There is a clear past between Opaline and these characters, as long there are no contradictions, the comic could be the hint to this past, but it doesn't exactly need to be either.

I still need to read it so I can't say much. Animated G5 apparently is canon to the comics though, just how it was with the G4 comics.

Well, that's a big contradiction. But as I said in the other thread, maybe these were the early plans for Make Your Mark's story. Given how the events of MyM are probably canon to the comics, a lot of retcons must've happened in it, but again, I still need to read them. But from what I've seen so far, I think the comics just don't work in the same continuity as Animated.

I think the g5 comics Canon is the same is g4. That being it's Canon until the show has a contradiction then the show Canon is assumed to be the "correct" version.
