I'll miss seeing new adventures from Generation 5 but I'm SO HAPPY that we got to spend the time that we did with these awesome characters.

I am not going to complain about any finale that has best boi in it! 

Being serious, while this episode is great and Comet being in it was a perfect pleasant surprise, it's an unsurprising shame that this is all we get for the finale. This is the best job they could've done for something they weren't planning to be the conclusion to the show though. It was really charming, heartfelt, and awesome to see all the characters coming together like this. 

Farewell, Tell Your Tale, we could not have had a better five-minute short show than you.

It’s sad to think that today’s episode of Tell Your Tale is the last, when there was meant to be so much more, but at least it ended on a wholesome and lighthearted note. I’m gonna miss this show

This was a good episode to go out on I guess. No real cliffhangers, just a cute, simple episode. It’s sad that it’s ending, and that G5 and its cast as a whole are probably done for. Especially under the circumstances of it being cut short by Hasbro, that makes this hurt so much more than if we had gotten all of season 2 and then had the show end.

I genuinely really enjoyed this generation and everything it had to offer. It was easily on the level of most of G4 for me. I loved looking forward to a new TYT episode every week (and every other week). MYM was fantastic and at its best was absolutely on par with the best of G4 imo. ANG started this generation off great and has some amazing songs I still listen to pretty often. The Mane 6 were all fantastic, design and character wise. With Misty really being the standout when it comes to character writing. I’ll miss this generation if this is really the end.

I hope I enjoy whatever comes next for MLP, but honestly the whole cutting G5 short situation has already really soured me on whatever future plans Hasbro might have. I’ll give G6 a fair shake, especially if it isn’t a G4 remake, but I really just don’t see myself being as big a fan of it as G4 and G5.

It was a fun ride, not for me but its fans, I had a hard time following this series when I was fan and stopped watching after 14 or 15 episodes, but it helped me realize that the series isn't really for me and that there are more interesting stuff for me to follow and I shouldn't be wasting my time with it, I'm not its audience, it wasn't useful for me but it was for other people. I still think that it was a very bad decision to continue with the 5 minutes format that didn't really make justice for MyM, and delaying the episodes when they said that they were meant to be weekly. But I think the show might have been really good for those who enjoyed it and were aware of what they should expect from it, truly a shame that these fans will never be able to see the rest of the story, cancellation is terrible, but you still got 93 episodes and a special to enjoy for the rest of the days, and there were MyM and the Movie too, so I personally consider it to be a good run for the generation, "but it wasn't a success like G4" honestly? G5 only had to the basic, there was no need to replicate the impact of G4, and I think the team behind it succeded to do the basics, those who had high expectations (like me) were disappointed, but those who just wanted a fun series with Ponies ended up really enjoying it.

Anyway, I don't really feel anything from this for obvious reasons, I didn't watch the episode but I don't need to watch it to know that there were people who cared about this series (previous posts ^), and that's what matters.

Now, if this is really the planned ending for the series, and Sunny's final line according to the post is "It was fun while it lasted", then maybe my theory about them actually secretely cancelling the show back in 2023 was true? This episode was again, made in 2023 (see screencap below), It's confusing because if we consider that this episode was supposed to take place after the various episode that were cancelled, then they skipped through all of the scrapped episodes and finished the production for this one in specific...or maybe not? Maybe this was originally supposed to be a random episode and not the series' finale? Sunny's line and the new title could've been added in post-production actually, thus the other title "The Water Park" in the credits, could be a hint on them actually changing the original ending for this episode to make it look like a finale for the series, but that's just speculation, we'll never know the truth...
