The return of G4?

I’ve been seeing some of the new art of G6 and it seems like Twilight, Rainbow Dash, and Pinkie Pie are coming back. Personally, I think if Hasbro really wants to bring back G4, they should bring back Equestria Girls, give Fluttershy her own special, and give Sunset a proper ending.

Please don't get Your Hopes up, i doubt They will do that, i think g6 will most likely be a g4 cash grab.

They were close to making a G5 incarnation of Equestria Girls according to leaked photos of unreleased dolls and a slide from an internal document mentioning a series called "Cutie Mark Club", though it was cancelled for some reason (either the financial struggles that Hasbro went through over the recent years prevented them from doing so or they decided that G5 wasn't going to be profitable enough to continue working on beyond the content they've released to date).

That said, they could bring back Equestria Girls in some capacity in the future, depending on how things go with MLP. I wonder if a campaign to get as many fans as possible to convince Hasbro to bring it back would be of any help, though it would be best to wait and see what the future of MLP holds for us before going that route.

If they ever do that they I can guarantee that they will ignore the previous Equestria Girls and G4 continuity and simply start from zero.

Unless they go full desperate and decide to make a "true continuation" series of G4, or even a midquel ~☆
