That's cute and all, but I'm going to go out on a limb and say I have little to zero interest in a bland, run of the mill, overdone kart racing game genre. Fighting is Magic far out interests a concept like this for me personally.

It's more for racing fans and not fighting type people, so if your looking to get rockets and shiz to shot other drivers then your in the wrong place.

We know it's for racing fans :3 Still doesn't mean the kart concept isn't an overused genre. Just wishing they'd come out with games that are a tad more original and integrated with the show, then creating a kart racing game.

(old news dude x3 but hey)

Anyways, I'm not as pumped for this one as I am for FightingiM, but I do have to say, a kart racer, even though it's generally overused (and let's say it, it had to eventually be ponified), I'm excited as a probably somewhat-biased racing game fan. If anything, I'd say I love the graphics.

Any cell-shaded 3D engine that runs pony models has been good so far (the Gmod models are some of the most accurate I've seen), but these look carefully edited and seemed to have been smoothed and upscaled with minimum visible polygons, so they look more detailed, and still maintaining a high performance. The karts look interesting so far, and I like the track (I think they only have Sweet Apple Acres as of now), and the minor glow the shading engine has. Overall, I'm pretty excited for this one, as well as FightingiM.

I don't think fighting in My Little Pony is along with the show either.

You're missing my point, but nice try x3

Karts is unoriginal and I feel they could do better, is all I'm saying.

Well I for one am going to play this when it comes out.

Me as well. It has definitely piqued my interest in the gaming part of our culture. It looks like a very fun, well-developed game.

Personally, the "Fighting is Magic" theme is more overused then racing. It's almost just street fighter with replaced sprites. And show integration is just as off as PonyKart. It's all game opinion here.

^ Very true.

Kart racers and fighting games are some of the most common form of franchise spin-off games, third party titles, and other games in general, such as fan games in this case. The thing is, there are different sub-genres of fighting games. As Ezy said, FightingiM is a game of the Street Fighter-esque genre, which seems to be one of the more used type of fighting games. In contrast, both FightingiM and PonyKart are common genres of gaming, yet that factor should not bring down the quality of the game.

In fact, it shouldn't be that surprising that those two are being made, and it's a good thing two that they are getting developed at the same time too, attracting a wide array of audience. That's why I can't wait for both.

Original move-sets for the characters that match references from the show is a bit more original than kart racing for me ^^
