Senn555 242 June 15, 2012 Share June 15, 2012 (edited) I started watching - and have grown to enjoy watching - the 2010 reboot of Pound Puppies, another show produced by Hasbro and DHX Media. Daniel Ingram and Steffan Andrews compose the show's underscore (there's only one or two songs in this show so far, that I know of). I guess it only makes sense then, to see the finale episode of season 1, and hear a familiar tune placed in...! (skip to about 5:45) http-~~-//www.youtube.com/watch?v=5igYM8fK684 And again at 1:47 here: "Lucky Gets Adopted" (S01E26) aired in January 2012, three months prior to FiM's Canterlot Wedding episodes being shown. (I think this is a terrible episode for a season finale, compared to the rest of the series, but that's for a different discussion) The Cutie Mark Crusaders theme is also used in "Olaf in Love" (S01E23), at 5:06 and 6:00: Would have been real nice for MLP:FiM fans to have caught these a lot sooner, but ah well. I just wish Pound Puppies had a dedicated fanbase like FiM does. Edited June 27, 2012 by Senn555

I personally don't need ANOTHER mlpfim in my life T_T Pound puppies is mediocre at best. As for the song, I see what you mean. Imo, it's kinda half-assed on their part for not coming up with something more unique. 2 Legit signature made by Shift.
Jokuc 8,173 June 15, 2012 Share June 15, 2012 That's cool. I guess they're too lazy to make new songs ?

MLP takes more of my time than I'd admittedly like, so I definitely don't need something else on top of my other non-hasbro obsessions. As for the show's quality, I can't say much as I haven't even watched the show. Animation looks okay, but that's all I can say. And a show with original music not borrowed from somewhere else is always preferable of course. Even if it's the same company it looks lazy.
Senn555 242 June 27, 2012 Author Share June 27, 2012 (edited) Oh god, please no. Not everything that Hasbro broadcasts is gold. I personally don't need ANOTHER mlpfim in my life T_T Pound puppies is mediocre at best. I didn't mean a fanbase as big as that of FiM's. Just *any* fanbase at all. Seriously, I can't find ANY dedicated websites / blogs / message boards devoted to Pound Puppies (I don't know about the 80s version but certainly not the 2010 reboot). I can only watch the show via the YTV channel because I'm in Canada. I can't watch it on The Hub/Netflix, buy it from iTunes, or even watch the new season 2 episodes on HubWorld because I'm not in the US. YouTube has had next to *nothing* until a couple days ago when this guy started uploading episodes, and there's nothing on torrent sites. The only thing I've been able to find is a subforum devoted to The Hub programming on ToonZone.net, and that certainly doesn't help me in the way of being able to watch this show, legal or otherwise. I've also heard that Episode 23 of season 1, "Olaf in Love", reuses the CMC theme song, but I haven't seen that one yet because I haven't been able to. I'm hoping this guy who uploaded Ep. 26 to YouTube will also post Ep. 23, then I can send in both of these musical references to Equestria Daily. And here's the Cutie Mark Crusaders theme, at 5:06 and 6:00: Edited June 27, 2012 by Senn555
Nah 3,182 June 27, 2012 Share June 27, 2012 Mother of God The hub shows must be intertwined. Does that mean, a crossover episode?

duidamasterXD 9,627 November 14, 2012 Share November 14, 2012 That's kinda cool actually, who doesn't love Love is in Bloom? Not gonna watch the show though, doesn't look like my cup of tea. I don't really feel like I owe the hub anything beyond the thanks I feel toward them and my dedication towards FiM ( that's quite a lot anyway). Sure it would be cool if it had a fanbase I guess, but I think it has to attract one on its own you know?

Shankveld 4,949 November 14, 2012 Share November 14, 2012 Wow you've got an amazing ear kudos to you, and I don't care from Pound Puppies and their 'butt fun' so I don't think it'd really catch on ~
