They are citing 2026 as the Year of the Pony, but don't mention any new content for that period. Image-wise, all we have is the banner on their site for the brand as a whole and some clothing.

This means our hiatus just got a lot longer, but we also have the potential for some fun stuff in 2026. Are you prepared? Will they fail horribly or deliver on something that actually beats G4? The world will find out in a few years apparently!

Doing my best to be cautiously optimistic about this despite G5's abrupt cancellation. If they really intend to make us wait until 2027, I hope "lots of new content" does not mean we're just going to get that Cutie Mark Camp show.

I don't know what this means for 2026. I'm guessing that there'll be no new animation or toys from Hasbro, but maybe IDW will have some new comics. The next Renegade Con is streaming on YouTube in just over a week (June 6) so there might be reveals for the My Little Pony Roleplaying Game or the My Little Pony Deck-Building Game. We're about due.

I'm not holding my breath on anything good coming from the "reinvention". Hasbro could give us Cocomelon or Peppa Pig but with ponies after all, I wouldn't put it past them. Or shower us with "innovative" mobile apps full of ads and micro transactions like Monopoly Go, since that app seems to be a big revenue source for them.

I have no idea. Maybe Hasbro didn't approve of the leak! The story might be out-of-date and obsolete.
