Would you want your child to date someone who ..?

Sure, I've got nothing against my future kids being with politicians! :ButtercupLaugh:

Jokes aside, I'd be alright if it was a distant connection. Like, their grandpa worked in the mafia, but their dad grew up clean, and the only person they see that's still connected is that one cousin everyone has at the family reunion. You're part if the family in the sense you'll inherit some blood money that's been laundered, but not criminally involved.

Would you want your child to date someone who was raised in a racist household? They themselves may not be racist, but you'll have to interact with the would be in-laws.

Oooh I like this thread:ooh: .

Ehhh. Maybe. I would say I'd try my best to tolerate them and be the best we can be. Hope they aren't racists towards us and if they may be, still treat us as individuals. Hope. If my child were to feel comfortable enough around the other's family, I feel like I should consider opening up as well.

Would you want your child to date someone who's not the same religion as yours?

As long as that family isn't pushing their beliefs onto my kid, that's fine! I'm friends with a few people who have different beliefs than me and it's totally fine since we've just quietly agreed not to push anything on each other!

I don't think I'd even mind too much if the kid converted to the other family's religion! As long as it's something they truly wanted to do and not something they felt pressured to do to stay in the relationship, then I can respect it.

Would you let your child date someone who didn't have a lot of money?

Whose child does have a lot of money :P ?

Ok, well so long as they were financially responsible with what they did have I’d be fine. Plenty of people make a good amount and just waste it or keep asking to “borrow” (and never return it).

Hm maybe. high school is irrelevant if that person is a full grown adult. I don’t judge their past but how they’re currently are right now.

Would you let your child date someone out of state or different country?

Out of state is fine as long as it isn’t too far away. Out of the country would be a no.

Honestly, I am not sure how it is in the USA, but here in germany, it became a total normal thing nowadays to hops between the jobs. Most people here don't work longer than a few years in the same company which is kinda sad and annoying. But it is how it is and so, I say yes.

I thought you meant Music Man from FNAF at first ^_^

Anyways, sure, if both people can balance their life like that! Popular artists have made it work before!

If they depend on it yeah  . I presume there's other means to qualify for SS than just being 65, soooo I'm assuming they aren't super old either.

Sure :) ! One doesn’t have to agree with their politics. Though I hope they’re civil and respectful about it.

No. Hygiene is very important and my kids will know this too.

Eleven seems too young for them to truly comprehend dating, so I'd say they can be just friends until they're older and feel like they actually want to have a relationship later on.

Would you let your child date a furry (not one that thinks they're an animal, just one that likes to dress in fursuits)?
