Is a Zebra white with black stripes or black with white stripes?

There are three species, none of which contain a brown coat.

• Grévy's Zebra: "As with all zebra species, the Grevy's zebra's pelage has a black and white striping pattern."
• Mountain Zebra: "Like all zebras, it is boldly striped in black and white and no two individuals look exactly alike."

Oh well, that's what I get for putting too much faith into a single source. I should have done more research, it is as simple as that, and I probably would have had Tom Baker not distracted me with his seemingly limitless supply of Jelly Babies (curse you Doctor).

I'll have to tell my uncle about this next time I see him, he'd probably be interested in finding out he might not have gotten the education he payed for. He'll love that. On second thought, maybe it would be best if I told him in a roundabout manner or through another person.

That actually depends on the type of zebra. I believe there are three different kinds. All with a different stripe pattern. (But I agree, white with black stripes.)

Yes there are different kinds of zebras. But all the kinds I know like Grevy's Zebra, Savannah Zebra, Mountain Zebra and Chapman's Zebra have these body parts white ( well Chapman's Zebra has only inner parts of legs white, as far as I remember) o.o
