I'm not talking about the Pony Creator generic OCs - I'm talking about well put effort into vectoring and/or drawing a completely different pony to put up into the banner as well. Because I do see some potential in the idea, I just find that it may not get used due to the fact of some jealousy behind people thinking about having their OC in the banner or when the person doesn't like a certain style that the pony was made in. I don't know. In all honesty, its a stupid idea, but I thought it seemed a bit original so I wanted to get people's opinion on it. I say this because I think when new users come onto this site they don't want to see some random pony, they want to see "My Little Pony" like one from the show....BUT! that said, it would be awesome to have a banner dedicated to most if not all oc's from this website! I say we stick with the Mane 6 and/or put some other charcters like Discord or Derpy put not OC mostly because almost no one will know them. Aureity 3,055 June 16, 2012 Share June 16, 2012 The problem is that certain users might feel left out, if they see someone else's OC in the banner week after week. Not everyone has legendary vectoring skills that they can make a banner with, but that doesn't mean that they don't want to see their OC up there just like everyone else. Fluffle Puff or something like that (there isn't really a good example at this point in time) it shouldn't be completely ruled out, but otherwise, an OC shouldn't be in the banner. NavelColt 22,881 June 17, 2012 Share June 17, 2012 Nope. As an administrator on a few Sonic boards, this is tried, and someone somewhere always feels left out. Quite literally a loosing battle. On top of that, frankly a lot of OC's images are made using the pony generator, which looks less than professional or cool to look at. Especially if there's a lot of them. Not saying people are lazy, or that people are this that or the other thing, but the fact is the pony generator is a template, and a bunch of the same template just altered into different appearances would look really bleh to me. The main characters have a near endless amount of styles, poses and types of images, so I feel we should stick to them to both ensure no one ever feels left out, and to also ensure a certain amount of visual quality. Surely someone, out on our wide expansive forum would be willing... Sorta like this, but with our (notable users) OCs. EDIT: Hell, they even have Aloe and Lotus, Hoops, Dumb-bell and Score in there! Lostwanderer 367 June 17, 2012 Share June 17, 2012 i think havign OC's in the bnner is a bad idea, the forum banned shows new people a quick taste of the forum, if they see an OC their reaction could be WTF is this ****, detering them fromt eh website, not to mention the fighting over a place in the banner, even if it were a complalation it'd be very crampped and not everyone would get ago, we get more active users each week than we could practicaly fit into a banner without ruining the look.
