Casey Pones 179 Sunday at 01:31 AM Share Sunday at 01:31 AM Last night I was playing some YouTube videos on my phone and an ad started playing. Apparently a toy company called Zuru has just made a pair of alicorn foam-dart guns! Behold the Blastercorns! At first I was 100% sure it was an ad for Fortnight, it looked just like a skin they would have introduced and it even the actions of the characters looked like a typical videogame. I've never owned or played with foam-dart guns in my life but I've decided to get one of these for my birthday. If nothing else it'll be a great conversation starter at MLP meet-ups and conventions! By the way, did you know that the reason toy guns always have an orange muzzle is because it's required by law to show police it's not a real gun? Notice the orange horns. I think it's kind of funny they still have to add them to indicate this is toy gun. And I like how they actually made it work with this design. 2 4

Dreambiscuit 12,175 Sunday at 07:15 AM Share Sunday at 07:15 AM This thing looks so fun and funny! I gotta get me one of these! Even the wings work! I like foam missile guns but they never had this kind of style and silliness. I’m all in. 4 hours ago, ZiggWheelsManning said: Magical blaster shots will just get deflected by my lightsaber Here's a perfect lightsaber for the job! The foam is strong with this one.
SharpWit 2,965 Sunday at 04:28 PM Share Sunday at 04:28 PM (edited) I was in a toy shop the other day, and they had these foam headed javelins that I thought could make a great addition to a foam war. I wish I could've gotten a picture. I'm guessing they're made by a local start up because their display case was made of laser cut wood, but they used like 3 foot long and inch and a half across of clear yellow plastic tubing for the body so it'd be light but rigid, and a black bulbous foamed head with a rounded tip that widened at the middle to about 2.5 inches, then narrowed back, maybe sticking a quarter inch away from the body. I've seen some that were basically pool noodles and has had various rocket launchers, but this thing looked like it could really fly. Edit: Found it! Not local to me, but looks like they're small and have only been around a couple years. Edited Sunday at 04:30 PM by SharpWit
